AVERY
It’s Sunday night and Daniel has organised for his parents to come over to his place for dinner so that I could meet them. To say that I was nervous is a total understatement. What do you even say to strict Chinese parents?
“Oh hi I’m Avery, the woman who intends to steal your son from his already intended fiancée. Please like me!”
Daniel is cooking up a storm when I arrive and when he opens the door the incredible smells hit my senses all at once and my mouth waters.
He kisses my lips in haste. “Come in, sorry the stove is on.” He says before hurrying back to the kitchen.
