AVERY Kai and I finished setting the table and placed all the dishes on the table that were in the oven while Daniel was still arguing with his parents and Yasmin. “Dinner is ready.” I call to them and all four pairs of eyes turn to look at me. I take a seat at the table and Kai sits across from me. “Cheers!” Kai says extending her glass towards me. “Cheers.” I say and clink her glass with my own. I take a giant gulp of liquid courage; god knows I’m going to need it to get through this dinner. Daniel sits beside me with his lips pursed. To my utter horror, Yasmin sits on his other side.
