ALEC My stomach is in knots the entire drive to the twin’s apartment. Throwing my car in park once we’ve arrived, Daniel and I share a look that I can’t even describe before we get out of my Supra. It is a warm summer’s night and the sun hasn’t set yet. We walk up the stairs and pause at the door before I reach a shaky hand up to the handle. Thanks to Carter, it’s unlocked as promised. I feel sick doing this. I feel like I’m breaking into their home because we definitely weren’t invited inside. I can only imagine what their reaction is going to be once they see us. The door swings open and it’s dark inside. I see the light from Amber’s television flickering underneath her bedroom door.
