CHAPTER 25 – JOANNA WARSAWLena had been right. The house was easy to find. It stood out against the sea of dulled brown brick, its bold canary hue almost blinding in the sunlight. Joanna wasn’t sure why she’d agreed to a meeting at her house. Surely, she could have just asked over the phone whether she had her father’s camera or not? But she’d restrained herself – she’d deliberately put off the moment of finding out. She loved to stretch out those blissful moments of unawareness. As a child she would always shut a book she was enjoying and put it away for a day when she sensed that something important was about to happen.
