"Gross, another day at school, otherwise known as the teenager's death-pit of Kwangju."
"Wait, what?" I turned around to see a handsome man, a tiny bit shorter than me. He had a glowing 'magic smile' earlier, the type of smile that would make anyone fall in love. Now he wore a nervous expression, reminiscent of a puppy in a thunderstorm. Then suddenly, he glanced to the chest pocket of my blazer, which had the school logo embroidered on it.
"You're going to spend the day with me." Ugh, but he's so gorgeous. "Because you, have sparked a sense of worry in me, and now I can't be alone. So after you put your backpack in your locker, meet me in room 114."
"The teacher's lounge?"
"Yes, I'm spending each day in there until the current teacher retires soon. And now, I don't want to be alone in a 'death-pit', so you'll stay with me. Kay?"
"Okay, well after I get my coffee, then I'll wait outside and we can walk to school together." I turn to the counter. "Hey, Woosung. The usual caramel latte please." I handed him a ten dollar bill.
"But it's three dollars, Hajoon."
"I know. I'm paying for the guy behind me. Whatever's left after that, put in the tip jar, kay? Kay." I walk over to the waiting area.
"So, why'd you pay for him? Finally got a crush, grandpa?"Jaehyung asks as he hands me my coffee.
"YAH, Lee Jaehyung! Stop calling me grandpa. And he's my teacher."
"So? Who cares about age difference?"
"No, Jae, he's my teacher. His job is to teach, my job is to learn."
"What you're supposed to do doesn't matter either. Do you like him, Hajoon?"
"Are you talking about me? I'm Dojoon, by the way. Park Dojoon."
