
A comedy/crime thriller set amongst local the local gentry full of secrets; lies, and ultimate betrayal.
After the death of his father, Lord Donald Flattery, Lord Steven Flattery, being the only child, is extremely hopeful of inheriting his father`s fortune so he can continue with his lavish lifestyle before he eventually settles down with his fiancee; Lady Cecilia Metcalf. But unbeknown to him, his now late father has been swindled out of his millions by investing into a bogus company and also took out a huge to loan to invest even more into this venture using his son as a guarantor. Again, without his knowledge. Leaving Lord Steven millions in debt, as well as his own gambling debts on top, with no means of his own to pay any of it of.
He`s offered a solution by the family accountant in which if he is the sole beneficiary of his father`s will, then he would be able to sell the family home, Nodnol Hall, and that would raise enough capital to pay of all the debts and he would a little left over to carry on his life.
But he is soon to realise, that being the only beneficiary, is not all that easy. All he is soon reminded that his aunt, Lady Cynthia Flattery and his estranged wife, Lady Pamela Wiltshire-Flattery, were both very close to his father. Close enough for him to become duly worried about the outcome of the will.
So, in desperation, he can see only one way that he would be certain to inherit, murder, so he turns to his loyal and faithful butler Hodgson who, after some persuading, and promising him a large sum of money, does agree to help his Lord and Master but insists that he trusts him no matter what and does not ask too many questions, which Lord Steven is only to happy to do.
