"Sssshh baby" I whispered as I stroked the side of her face, "I got you. Ain't gonna let anything happen to you" she seemed to settle as I stroked her skin and soon the peaceful look returned as her breathing even out. I'd do whatever I had to in order to protect her. I knew I was a bad man, I knew I was a man who had done things that would make most people throw up, but it even frightened me to think of the lengths that I would go to, to protect her.
I woke the next morning from a peaceful sleep. Which shouldn't have been disturbing, but I couldn't help thinking it was. I hadn't slept well in years and the sensation was foreign. I stretched leisurely before heading out to the kitchen where I found Sunny , Kewis and Calvin all sat at the island.
