Sandra did not wish to bring Jason's condition to the attention of Dorian for fear that she could drag Sam back to her home . She was almost sure that Sam would not hesitate to accompany her . It was not that she disliked Jason , but she could not tell how Mr. Jade would react on discovering that he was still up and kicking . And that would ultimately lead him into extending his search for her . However , she realized that Dorian would ultimately know and it might reflect bad on her if she came to know that she hid the information from her . She devised a way of telling her without letting anyone know how she came by the information .
" Dorian , have you tried to communicate with your mother ?" She asked as they were taking their supper .
" Sure , I have , but it has been through Jason .
