In the dark, dark night, the insistent crooning of George Michael sliced through the silence.
“Arrh,” Alec growled, pulling a pillow over his head. I sat up and stretched, dancing a bit with the song. A moment later he swatted me with the pillow. “What the heck is that noise?”
“Wake me up, before you go-go? Come on, this is a classic.” I beamed at him and leaned over him to turn on the lamp.
“Ah, why?”
“Wow, this is a whole new side of you. So, you’re not a morning person, huh? Cute. Now get your lazy butt out of bed and come on.” I gave him a quick kiss and hopped out of bed to slip on my shoes.
Alec eyed me suspiciously. “Where are we going?”
“Outside. If you don’t want to come, fine, but I’m going.”
“Alright, alright. Just let me use the bathroom, okay?”
