You'd Better Not Fall For Me

The loud dull thump startled Mira badly. She bit her lower lip and dared not make a sound. "What can I do to you?!" Allen roared and lunged at Cedric again, "This is what I can do to you!" But this time he failed to hit Cedric. Through the crack in the door, Mira could see Allen jump Cedric and Cedric dodge deftly to the other side. The two thrashed around on the floor and got out of Mira's sight. Their fists hit each other with a sickening thud, making Mira very worried. She didn't know whether Cedric knew how to fight. After all, she only knew that Cedric was a doctor, and Allen was famous for his belligerence in the Pack. Mira didn't dare to look out. She could only pray to the Moon Goddess in her heart to let Cedric win. Soon, Mira felt the closet suddenly shake violently. Someone was thrown against the closet and fell to the ground! Would it be Cedric? Mira held her breath and peeked out, then her eyes widened in surprise. Allen was knocked down by follow-up punches and pinned to the ground by Cedric's rear-naked choke, and then he heard Cedric say sarcastically, "It's been a long time, Allen. Why are you still so weak? Didn't Raymond teach you? Sleeping around only makes you get weaker." Allen roared and struggled, almost breaking free from Cedric's arms. But Cedric still took him down. Cedric chuckled and teased, "Sorry, I forgot. You are my little brother. You know, bullying a little brother is really fun." Allen flushed with anger and struggled harder. But suddenly, they heard hurried footsteps out of the ward. Cedric let go of Allen and said, "Someone's coming. You'd better get out of here right away. Raymond will be pissed off if he heard we were fighting. Don't you think so?" Allen wanted to fight, but he knew Cedric was right. Finally, he glared at Cedric, tidied his clothes, and left. Hearing Allen left the ward and walked away, Cedric opened the closet and saw Mira, who was deathly pale. He whistled, "I thought you were suffocated." Mira forced a smile and said nothing. Seeing her in a daze, Cedric reached out and waved his hand in front of her, "Are you stunned?" Mira came back to her senses and shook her head, "No. I just didn't expect you to be so... So good at..." Cedric smiled faintly, "Brawling?" Mira wanted to say "fighting", anyway, she decided to change another topic, "You get hurt... Let me help you with it." The corners of Cedric's mouth were cracked, maybe he also got other wounds on his body. Cedric raised an eyebrow and said nothing. Then he lay on the sick bed as he was told. Mira found a first-aid kit from the closet she was hiding, and cleared her throat, "I'm going to take your clothes off." Cedric stretched out his arms and said with a grin, "You don't have to tell me. I love surprises." Mira was speechless. She rolled her eyes and walked over to unbutton his shirt. Under the shirt was a perfect sturdy body. His beautiful chest and six-pack abs reminded Mira how he f****d her last night, sweating and panting. She blushed and felt a little embarrassed at the thought. She then took a cotton swab to apply medication to him, and whispered, "Thank you for helping me out." "No need to thank me. I'm not doing this for you. If word gets out about Allen causing a scene here, it would not be good for both my father and me." "Allen doesn't seem to like you much," Mira asked. "I guess he just likes himself," Cedric said lightly. "... That's right," Mira couldn't agree more. As she spoke, she moved the cotton swab to Cedric's lips. It was the first time that she had seen his face so close. His tight jawline, his straight nose, his sexy and thin lips with a tiny bruise, and... The bite? Mira took a closer look and realized what it was. When she kissed him last night, she cummed and couldn't help biting him... Staring at his lips, she blushed. Cedric noticed the way she looked at him was quite strange, and he said, "Don't look at me like that. Hide your emotions when you are with me." Mira didn't understand what he meant and asked, "What?" Cedric glanced at her with a hint of warning in his eyes, "Allow me to remind you of the terms of our deal. You'd better not fall for me. Because I would never fall in love with anyone." Hearing his words, Mira suddenly came back to her senses. She must have lost her mind. Why would she stare at him like that? Mira forced a smile to lighten up the situation, "I know you wouldn't love anyone... except Doris, maybe?" She was trying to make a joke, but Cedric's face darkened when he heard that. "She's someone you should never talk about. Know your place and mind your own business. Don't let me say it again," Cedric said coldly. The atmosphere in the ward was getting tense abruptly. Mira was not in the mood of joking anymore, and she opened her mouth and said again, "Fine, fine. Don't worry. I will never have a crush on you." Cedric nodded slightly and said, "That would be best." Mira lowered her head and silently applied medicine to his wound until she finished, "Where's Jimmy?" Cedric put on his clothes quickly and said, "I have sent him to my place. Your home is not safe now. You'd better move out immediately with your little brother." Mira agreed because Allen might be looking for her where she lived. Cedric tilted his head and said, "Go ahead. I'll pick you up to meet Jimmy when you are done." It seemed that he was back to a good sugar daddy again. Mira couldn't see through him, nor did she have the time to figure it out. She spent the afternoon moving out, and when Cedric came to pick her up, she quickly fell asleep in his car. - - - "Wake up, wake up." Mira awoke from a deep sleep, feeling someone was shaking her. She opened her eyes and got out of the car, drowsily. And then, she was stunned by what she saw. Standing in front of her was a Gothic villa that was practically a work of art. The spires of the villa pierced the sky, and the lawn at the entrance was perfectly manicured. The fountain in the middle and the stained glass windows embedded on the walls glowed red and yellow in the setting sun. Mira was very surprised. She thought that Cedric would live in an ordinary place after she left the Alpha mansion. "Is this your place? I mean, is every doctor as rich as you are?" Mira exclaimed, "Can I earn one percent of your salary if I change my career to nursing now?" "Good question. But trust me, pleasing me will make you richer than taking care of those ill-tempered patients." "..." Mira was speechless for a moment. She followed him into the villa and heard Jimmy's laughter and the sound of the TV. "Mira!" Jimmy's face lit up as soon as he saw Mira. He ran over and cried, "This place is so awesome! I have watched Transformers and your favorite Barbie! Come and watch it with me!" Cedric chuckled and asked, "You like Barbie?" Mira was so embarrassed that she even wanted to bury her head in the sand. Loving Barbie was not an adult thing. "Nope," she said dryly. "Fine," Cedric couldn't stop his smile and he said to Jimmy, "The cartoon is great, kid, but it's dinner time. I have Mrs. Jones prepare a nice dinner for us." Mira was starting to look forward to their dinner. After all, everything from Cedric's clothes to his house could reveal his outstanding taste. However, when the dishes were served, Mira's jaw dropped. Boiled broccoli, mashed potatoes, canned peas… Sitting at the table, Mira asked with uncertainty, "...Is this a nice dinner?" Was Cedric joking with her? But Cedric calmly and gracefully placed the napkin in his lap and said, "You're welcome." Mira hesitated, taking a bite and finding the taste was as terrible as she expected. Mrs. Jones, whose name was Maggie Jones, felt that it was necessary to explain it to Mira. "Miss, Mr. Moore has no preference for food. He always has a healthy and light diet. He especially told me to prepare some extra dishes today." Mira eyed Cedric strangely. Why would such a rich man abuse himself like this? Seeing Jimmy also having difficulty swallowing the broccoli, Mira felt sorry for him. So she put down her fork and asked tentatively, "May I use your kitchen?" - - - Cedric's kitchen was well equipped, and Mira quickly cooked several dishes, including grilled cheese, bacon, and tomato sandwiches, a large bowl of chopped salad, a plate of honey garlic baked chicken wings, and a pot of cream of mushroom soup. Out of politeness, Mira also prepared for Cedric, but Cedric firmly rejected her. "Thanks, but no thanks. I will never eat more calories than I need." "Okay, okay," Mira was so starving that she didn't have the energy to argue with him. She was still a great cook, so when she started dinner with Jimmy, Jimmy kept praising her. The atmosphere was lit up by their chatting and laughter. But Cedric frowned slightly as he heard Jimmy compliment Mira. Why were they so noisy? Why did he let these two guys stay here? He should have kicked them out right away. But... Was it really so yummy? The smell of the dishes tantalized Cedric's taste buds. After hesitating for a while, he scooped up a spoonful of cream of mushroom soup and decided that if it wasn't tasty, he would definitely kick this woman out. Cedric finally took a mouthful of the soup, but the taste made him frown...
