Mira knocked the door hard and shouted, "James? What are you doing? Let me out!"
Through the peephole, she saw him hang up the phone and walk over. The fierce look on his face chilled her to the bone.
And then she heard James say, "Wait in the room. I don't know what happened between you and Allen, and I don't care. But I won't offend Allen for you!" After that, James quickly left.
"Don't! Open the door! Help! Help!" Mira shouted desperately, but no one dared to come up and open the door for her.
As time passed by, Mira got anxious as she thought of Allen's shouts and furious look. She looked around and fixed her eyes on the window.
When she opened the window, a gust of cold wind drove in. She was on the second floor. If she jumped, she might break her legs or get badly hurt.
Suddenly, she heard the familiar engine sound coming from downstairs.
Had Allen arrived so quickly?!
Mira's heart was pounding. She no longer hesitated, gritted her teeth, and decided to take the risk.
She climbed up the window and jumped without hesitation! In an instant, she felt severe pain coming from the soles of her feet, causing her to scream in pain.
Mira knew that she must sprain her ankle. She squatted down and rubbed her feet when she heard someone say, "Mira? God, did you jump out of the window? Are you alright?"
Mira looked up and found it was a colleague of hers, who was walking toward Mira right away.
"I'm fine!" Mira was afraid of being taken back, so she greeted her colleague perfunctorily and then limped away in pain.
An hour later, she finally returned to her new place, gasping and sweating. After locking the door, she breathed a sigh of relief. It was so damn close that she almost got caught.
Suddenly, her phone buzzed in her pocket. Mira was startled and found that James had made several calls.
She didn't want to answer James's call now, but James didn't give up calling. Finally, Mira had no choice but to pick it up, wearily.
The moment the call was connected, Mira heard Allen's curses on the phone. James kept his voice down and asked, "Mira, what the hell did you do? Where the f**k have you been?"
"I..." Mira tried to say something, but James interrupted her.
He threatened her, "Forget it. I don't care where you are. Allen is here. You have half an hour to get back to my office! If you didn't show up, I'll fire you. And you can't get your salary this month!"
Mira retorted in disbelief, "It's not fair! How can you do this to me!"
"Then come here and talk to me!" After saying this, James hung up the phone.
Mira collapsed to the ground. She loved her job and worked so hard, but now she was going to lose everything just because she wanted to break up with Allen. She didn't intend to go back to argue with James, of course, because it would be useless and dangerous. Exhausted, Mira turned off her phone and bandaged her ankle before falling asleep.
She didn't sleep well that night. The dreams haunted her, dragging her deep down in her sleep. Sometimes she saw Jimmy's cute smile, and then she saw Allen go ballistic, and at last, she saw Cedric, who pinned her in the bed and thrust hard inside her, giving her utter pleasure again and again...
Mira slowly opened her eyes in extreme pleasure. It was already midnight. She lifted the quilt and found that her panties were soaking wet. She heaved a sigh and frowned, "Emily is right. Women will have strange dreams when they are stressed."
Emily Evans and Mira had been good friends since they were in primary school. Two years ago, Emily came to study abroad and she barely met Mira since then, but they had always kept in touch.
Mira shook her head slightly to get rid of her random thoughts. She got up and took a shower and decided to find another job.
However, it took Mira three days to get a new job because she had to try her best to hide her identity before Allen found her and pestered her again.
Finally, Mira got a job in a housekeeping services company. On her first day at work, manager Paul Foster handed her a suit, "Here's your uniform."
Paul was in his late thirties in a casual polo shirt. His brown eyes were hidden behind a pair of black full-rim glasses.
"Thank you, Mr. Foster," Mira took it and walked into the fitting room. It was a dark brown uniform that looked old-fashioned. But it suited Mira very well, like a customized maid outfit. Mira had a good figure, especially her breasts that were almost bulged out of the uniform, making her look very hot and attractive.
Paul's eyes lit up when he saw Mira in the uniform. He then took Mira to the staff room, where there were several girls in the same uniform.
"Rudy!" Paul shouted, "Get over here! We have a new girl!"
Soon, a beautiful woman with dark ginger hair ran over. She smiled brightly at Paul, then looked at Mira, who keenly saw the vigilance and hostility in Rudy's eyes.
Mira was beautiful enough to make any woman stay alert.
Paul introduced, "Mira, this is your leader, Rudy Morris. You can come to her if you have any questions."
Mira nodded.
Paul then patted Rudy on the shoulder and said friendly, "This is Mira Baker, your new colleague. Take good care of her, Rudy."
Hearing Paul's words, Rudy eyed Mira with jealousy and gave her a meaningful look, "Don't worry. I'll definitely 'take good care' of her."
After Paul left, Rudy folded her arms and looked at Mira critically, "Put on your badge, new girl. We need to wait for our guests to book the services first before we start our work. But now you have no clients. Go and have the room cleaned. It will help you get familiar with our business."
"...I see," Mira had a sort of feeling that Rudy was hostile to her, but she didn't think much, because she only wanted to make money now. She took the cleaning tools and started her job from a corner.
But when she walked over, she was startled by a chubby girl who crouched behind the dusty shelves.
Her face and hands were all dirty because she was cleaning the shelves. She had a pair of big bright eyes and a red nose. When she saw Mira, she greeted her happily. "You are Mira, right? The new girl? I'm Betty Ward. I started work two days ago."
"Nice to meet you, Betty," Mira was fond of this friendly girl, and sighed in her heart. It seems that bullying newcomers was not a new thing everywhere.
Betty was surprised Mira would greet her, and she whispered, "You are a nice girl, Mira. I need to remind you that Rudy doesn't like you. You have to be careful."
Mira rolled up her sleeves and started mopping the floor, "Why?"
Betty's eyes lit up and she started gossiping, "Because Rudy likes Paul! And Paul is too nice to you just now..."
"Betty, Mira! What are you two doing?!" Rudy interrupted them coldly.
Betty made a face and stopped talking. She lowered her head and continued working.
Rudy came over and eyed Mira indifferently, "Listen, I'm your leader. You have to listen to me and do whatever I say..."
"Excuse me, who's Mira Baker?" A man's voice interrupted Rudy.
Mira raised her head and walked over while drying her hands with a towel, "I'm Mira Baker. What's up?"
"Here is your package," The man took out a box that was one meter long and half a meter wide, "Pease sign for it."
Mira frowned and muttered, "Are you sure this is my package?" It was her first day at the company. How did they know her address?
The man put the pen into her hand and said, "Yes, please sign."
Hearing this, Mira, who was still in doubt, had no choice but to sign the package. It was an exquisite box. Mira tore the wrapper layer by layer and finally opened the box.
"Wow!" exclaimed the crowd.
Mira was also amazed by the contents of the box. It was a huge bouquet of red roses wrapped with a black lace ribbon. The bouquet was fragrant and beautiful, with dewdrops on the petals. There was also an envelope stuck on the rose, saying "To Mira". But there was no signature on the envelope.
The package was indeed for her.
But who sent it?
Mira opened the envelope and found several sheets of paper inside. On the front page was written "Sugar Daddy Contract"! Mira's eyes widened in surprise.
Instantly, she knew who sent it.
Someone was still peeking at her curiously. Mira was so embarrassed that she wanted to bury her head in the sand, and hurriedly folded the contract and stuffed it into her pocket.
"What is that? So secretive," A female colleague snorted, but she was still curious about the envelope, "Mira, who sent you the flowers? Your admirer? Is that a love letter?"
Mira raised her head and met Rudy's jealous eyes. So she immediately shook her head and said, "No... It's just a bill from my creditor."
Rudy sneered, "A bill from your creditor? I don't think so, Mira. It seems that this job is just your sideline. It must be the love letter from your sugar daddy, right?"
Ruby's words made the others eye Mira strangely.
Mira didn't want to attract too much attention, she quickly closed the box and said, "It's just a prank. The man I owe knows that I have a pollen allergy. So he sent the flower to intimidate me."
After saying that, Mira hurried away with the box in her hand. But before she could find a place to put the box down, Cedric's call came.
"Have you received it?" Cedric sounded like he was in a good mood on the phone.
Mira, displeased by his teasing, asked in a low voice, "Dr. Moore, why are you doing this?"
