It's My Period

As soon as Chloe stepped out of the restroom, her legs began to shake like she had been stuck in a particular position for over an hour.

While shifting back to rest her back on the wall, her legs mistakenly hit something, and she lost her balance that instant. She had closed her eyes and expected the worse to happen only to notice a strong hand holding her up before her back could even touch the cold floor.

"Are you alright?" An unfamiliar voice asked, getting worried.

Chloe stood upright as she opened her eyes and turned around to see the handsome voice who had caught her before she could even make it to the floor.

Truly, the guy was as handsome as his voice, and every lady would be crushing to their knees for him, but he was nothing compared to Adrian.

"Are you sure you are okay?" The stranger asked again, shaking Chloe out of her deep thoughts.

"Oh yes, I'm alright," Chloe replied, looking down at her feet.

"That's alright," the stranger said, releasing Chloe's arm that he had been holding for a while.

"Thank you. I'd love to take my leave now," Chloe said slowly as she tried not to look at the stranger's face again.

Chloe walked cluelessly to the main hall and saw Adrian still engaged in a conversation with a few important personnel.

He was standing beside one of them and kept on smiling from the corner of his lips when he turned around and noticed Chloe's presence.

Adrian checked his wristwatch and turned till their gaze finally met. He turned back to the men he was discussing with, excused himself, and walked in Chloe's direction.

He tucked the strand of her hair behind her ear as he moved more closer to her. Chloe, on the other hand, stared at the floor, preventing herself from looking up at him as they were in close range.

Chloe kept on blushing as she kept on playing the scenario between her and the stranger.

"Why are you blushing?" Adrian asked, raising her head to stare at her.

The question hit Chloe like a thunder strike because she couldn't bring herself to tell Adrian about the stranger she met on her here, and it might cause something she couldn't handle.

She thought for a while before coming up with an idea.

"I caught some couple making out inside the bathroom before leaving, and it has been making me blush ever since then," Chloe lied, and her cheeks immediately turned red as she tried to figure out what she had just said.

"Is that it?" Adrian asked, holding up her face.

"Yes," Chloe replied.

"Let's go home then, we are done for today," Adrian said.

Before Chloe could figure out what he said since she was lost in thought about the stranger, Adrian had wrapped his hands around her waist, making her flinch a bit, but she felt relaxed on him for a few seconds as they took easy steps out of the hall.

While walking, Chloe could feel many eyes staring at her, so she held Adrian tightly and avoided everyone's gaze till they finally walked out.

Immediately they stepped outside the event hall, Adrian quickly let go of Chloe's hand and cleaned them off with her handkerchief.

All the time he cared inside the hall was because he wanted to put on a show for everyone to talk about and Chloe played her part perfectly. One of the security guards standing a few meters away opened the door, and Adrian got in while Chloe walked to the other side of the door. The door was also opened for her by one of the security guards.

A few seconds later, the driver started the ignition and all security standing around got into the first and last car. The driver drove at lightning speed, and they got to Adrian's mansion in less than ten minutes.

Immediately they got to the front of the mansion, Adrian hurriedly got out of the car and made his way in while Chloe had to run out of the car to keep up with Adrian's pace.

Adrian heard heavy footsteps running behind him and unexpectedly turned around only for Chloe to bump into him with her face smashed on his shirt.

"Jeez!" Chloe groaned as she rubbed her forehead in pain as it seemed she had just hit her head heavily on a rock.

"Are you this sluggish? Can't you just keep to your pace and walk a few steps behind me?" Adrian asked angrily.

"I'm sorry," Chloe replied, bowing her head as she continued rubbing her forehead in pain.

"Get inside and get yourself prepared because I will be back tonight," Adrian said and walked away immediately.

Chloe's chest started beating fast due to what she just heard from Adrian. If what he said could mean only one thing, it was that he would be coming over to her bedroom tonight to perform his manly duties.

Chloe became scared as everything started making sense to her, but she just had to drag herself to her bedroom. She tried calming down since this wasn't the first time a man would be making out with her, but her heart wouldn't stop beating heavily anytime she remembered Adrian.

Chloe walked into her bathroom to take a shower. A few minutes later, she hurriedly finished up and out on her nightgown before walking to her bed and lying down, waiting for Adrian to arrive anytime soon.

Chloe was about to doze off on her bed after waiting for a few minutes when she suddenly heard footsteps coming towards her room. She turned to the other side of the wall and pretended to be asleep till the door creaked open and Adrian walked in.

Each step he took made blood stop flowing through Chloe's body till it finally remained a few drops.

Chloe could sense Adrian's presence inside her room and immediately started panicking when she saw him pulling off his clothes through the shadows.

"You had better stop with the pretense because I know that you are awake," Adrian said, quietly to her ears, which made a shiver run down her spine, and she immediately opened her eyes.

"Why did you pretend to be asleep when I walked in when you know the exact reason I married you?" Adrian asked, still close to Chloe's face.

Chloe pushed his face away and tried standing up. When Adrian wasn't letting her move an inch, she had to speak up.

"I think I need to use the bathroom," Chloe said, but Adrian wasn't ready to let her go as he pulled her closer to his chest.

Adrian pulled her face closer to kiss her, but Chloe immediately felt a sharp pain below her stomach and groaned silently.

"Damn it!" Chloe groaned loudly when she couldn't hold it in again.

Adrian had to quickly let go of her hand as he stared at her.

"What is it?" Adrian asked.

Chloe held her stomach and stared at Adrian without saying a word and all of a sudden, she felt some warm liquid run down her thighs

"Should I call in a Doctor?" Adrian asked.

"No," Chloe replied, shaking her head.

"Then what is wrong with you because it's obvious you are in deep pain?" Adrian asked, looking all concerned.

"I think it's my period," Chloe replied, stammering and feeling embarrassed.
