Between Mystica, a magical land, and Valoria, a human land, there is Rayna, a seer and healer. One day, she gets a prophecy that reads: "Look to the night when the heavens are swollen with light, when the Moon hangs full and unblinking above the world. In that hour, from the sacred union of two Alphas, a child of destiny shall draw its first breath. The Moon Goddess herself shall descend to claim the cradle, crowning the newborn with her celestial mark: the glowing crest of the moon etched upon its brow. She shall not run as mortal wolves run. Her pelt shall shimmer with the pale, freezing blue of glacial fire, and within her veins shall surge the raw majesty of the stars. Mountains shall answer her howl, the tides shall heed her call, and no earthly blade shall master her spirit.

Born of two crowns, sealed under the full moon's eye—the avatar of the Goddess walks among us."

What will become of this special child?

Chapter 1
Somewhere In The Dark Forest . . . It was a dark and stormy night in the middle of the dark forest between two lands: Valeria, a human land, and Mystica, filled with magical and mythological creatures and people. And in the middle of the forest lies a cave that is home to Rayna. She is a seer and healer of both lands. She has long black hair and dark eyes. She is fifty years old but looks no older than 25. And in that cave, Rayna is running around. She feels something big coming; then she suddenly freezes. Her eyes roll back in her head, which means a vision is coming. She quickly grabs a pen and a piece of paper and writes. She feels her hand moving, but sees nothing. Then, suddenly, the writing stops, and she comes to a gasp when she sees what she wrote. It said: "Look to the night when the heavens are swollen with light, when the Moon hangs full and unblinking above the world. Born of two crowns, sealed under the full moon's eye—the avatar of the Goddess walks among us." Rayna immediately heads to the mystic land to show Alpha Lear and Luna Eleanor. As soon as she enters the pack house, she screams, "Alpha, Luna!" As soon as they hear her scream their names, they rush in. Alpha Lear says, "What is it, Rayna? What have you rushed in like there is a fire?" Rayna, out of breath, says, "Look what I just got. I believe it came straight from the moon goddess herself." Lear and Eleanor read the prophecy, looked at each other, then looked at Rayna. Eleanor says, "How is that possible? I'm not even pregnant." Rayna takes hold of Eleanor's left hand and turns it over to look at her palm. Rayna runs her finger over the lines in Eleanor's hand and smiles. She says, "You will conceive a child under the full moon's might, but a word of warning: I also see darkness and danger for the child." Lear and Eleanor both look at each other. Lear says, "The full moon is when our power is at its strongest, and thank you, Rayna; we will take that warning to heart." Rayna nods and leaves Lear and Eleanor to their thoughts. Eleanor turns towards Lear and says with worry, "Lear, what will we do? We have to protect the child. The full moon is in seven days." Lear grabs Eleanor and holds her tightly and says, "It's OK, I will do anything to protect this child and you." 7 Days Later. . . Lear and Eleanor are preparing for the full moon festival, still hanging on Rayna's every word. They have tried many times to find her to ask more questions but failed. Every time Rayna hides herself with a magical cloak, she is only seen when she needs to be. Knowing that tonight is the night when she will conceive a child, she is agitated but excited. At the same time, she is terrified of what the prophecy foretold. This full moon festival is more special. It falls on the autumn equinox, so it will be bigger, fuller, and yellower. Eleanor looks at the time. It reads: 7:00 pm; in about fifty more minutes, the moon will start rising, and the festivities will start. She finishes the menu and the decorations for the packhouse. Everywhere you look, pumpkins and leaf garlands and all the red, orange, and yellow celebrate the changing of the seasons. Eleanor doesn't realize the time; it's 7:50. The moon starts rising, suddenly. Eleanor feels a rush of heat come over her. She is dazed and confused. All she can concentrate on is Lear. She needs him, craves him, wants him. She feels her wolf, Lyra, rise to the surface, demanding her mate. She searches for him, trying to locate his woodsy scent. She heads out towards the training grounds. On the training grounds, Alpha Lear is with his Beta, Derek, and Delta, Joey. Then, suddenly, Lear feels the same wave of heat coming over him. It makes him drop to the ground. Derek and Joey go to try to help him; Lear, using his alpha voice, shouts, "NO." Derek and Joey are forced to obey as Lear unsteadily stands; his eyes go black as coal, meaning his wolf, Kane, has taken control. With hunger in his voice, Kane says only, "Mate," and he heads towards the packhouse in search of his mate. Kane follows her scent, which smells like wildflowers and leads him toward the dark forest. He reaches the clearing in the woods, created for humans and wolves to meet peacefully. He spots her standing there. The moon is getting higher and higher in the sky. Eleanor's wolf, Lyra, says, "It's almost time." Kane doesn't know how much longer he can wait. She senses his impatience. Finally, the full moon reaches its peak; she nods to him. Kane comes to Lyra hungrily; their lips meet. Soon enough, their tongues find each other as they kiss; he pulls off the dress that she chose to wear that day. He heads towards her neck where her mate mark is located and starts sucking, a wave of ecstasy washing over her. She can't take no more. She needs him now. The deed has to get done before the moon is gone. Lear/Kane takes off the rest of his clothes and pushes Elanor/Lyra up against the tree. He enters her from behind. She hollers out as pleasure fills her entire body. Kane is thrusting harder and faster till she starts coming. As she is released, he starts releasing and filling her up. They both howl with pleasure. Suddenly, they both pass out from intense heat and pleasure. After a while, Lear and Eleanor wake up, not realizing what happened. They find their clothes and put them back on, then hear footsteps approaching under the light of the full moon. Rayna steps into the clearing, smiles, and says, "It's done." Eleanor asked, "What happened?" Rayna says, "That, my dear, was you going into heat, and since you both have alpha blood, you both ended up in heat, which made the bond stronger." Rayna turned and left back into the darkness of the woods. Lear looked at Eleanor with wide eyes and said, "Eleanor, your scent is changing already. How is that possible?" Eleanor put her hand over her stomach and said with a smile, "The moon goddess works in mysterious ways. We may never know the true purpose of our child, but I know it's going to change everyone." She goes over, takes Lear by the hand, and says, "We need to announce to the entire land that we are going to have an heir, but we need to keep the rest to ourselves." Lear and Elanor head out of the clearing and back to the festivities.
