CHAPTER 22TUESDAY, OCTOBER 10 Ed Wilson stepped out of his drugstore for a few minutes and left Nancy in charge. It was a slow day, so she would stock the shelves, clean the soda fountain, and straighten up the comic book displays kids had pawed through. None of those kept her mind occupied. She relived the final fifteen minutes of her date with Throckmorton and obsessed about the woman she’d seen him with at the Carriage Inn. The few customers who came were picking up pictures, either printed from film rolls or from digital cameras. Ed hadn’t invested in new technology, so they were all sent out.
