A new friend

Luna's POV
"You know each other?" I asked as we all walked towards the huge couch and sat on it.
"Yes. Mark is my childhood friend but we got separated when my parents sent me to Italy to further my studies" Tanya replied.
" Really?" I asked, my curiosity fanning.
" Yeah. I cried my eyes out, hoping I would meet her someday. I even tried reaching out to her through the phone but it wasn't going through. " Mark interrupted.
" Sorry my mom changed my phone. She complained that she doesn't want me to possess anything that would remind me of home. So annoying!" Tanya rolled her eyes.
" That isn't fair" I snapped.
Why are moms always poking into their kids life and acting bossy most times? I thought mine behaves like that because she is a queen. You know, Queens are used to bossing people around. But I never knew it was a natural phenomenon.
"Yeah I know! But you see those women we call our mum? They are the best" Tanya grinned.
" Sure they are" I chuckled.
"So how long have you been back?" Mark asked.
"Five months"
"Five months?" He repeated in disbelief. "And you didn't even bother to find me?"
" Of course I tried searching for you but all seemed abortive."
" And you gave up?"
"What would I have done? Jump into a river and drawn?" Tanya said sarcastically.
" Ha ha.. funny" Mark snapped.
"Come on buddy! I really tried my best to find you, I really did. Okay, I am sorry. Please forgive me sire" Tanya pouted her lip, softly drawing her ears but Mark maintained a long face.
"Accept my apology or I am going to tickle you" She added, tickling him.
" Apology accepted. You are still crazy as always" Dave chuckled.
" And you are still as cute and handsome as I left you. Or should I say you have gotten cuter"
" Thank you. Unlike some blind people who doesn't even have eyes to notice it" Mark said looking at me.
I scoffed. Handsome my foot. If Tanya wasn't engaged already, I would have called them a perfect couple.
"So you are the lady Isabel saved at Jame's birthday party?" Mark asked.
"Oh she told you about it? So embarrassing" Tanya muttered.
" Sorry" I twitched my lip.
" It's okay. So Mark meet my latest friend, Luna" She announced and took my hand in hers.
" Seriously?This is the worst decision ever. You definitely going to regret it" Dave muttered to my hearing.
I shot him a dead stare. "Did you say something?" I fired.
"Me? No, i mean, Yes. Yeay! I'm happy for your new friendship"
" Whatever" I rolled my eyes.
"But I'm confused about something. How did you get here?" Tanya asked with furrowed brows.
" Me? I.uhm. actually..I " Mark stuttered.
I cut him off.. "He stalked me"
" Stalk? I didn't stalk you dumbass.I only followed her because I was .uhm..you know, scared that she might be kidn*pped or worst"
" Wait..does this means you guys live together?" Tanya exclaimed.
" No..no..It is not what you think. I and Luna are just two friends who lives together."
"Oh I see. I will believe that for now " She shrugged as I exchanged glances with Mark. "Okay guys, looks like we have enough catching up to do. So you both relax here while I go get dressed up" Tanya giggled going up the stairs.
"Mark I am so hungry. I want to eat" I whined wearing a baby face.
"What? Have you lost your mind? We are not at home. We are in someone's house remember.?"
"Forgive me Mark. I have suddenly become blind and I can't see it" I snapped. "This is all your fault. Tanya offered to give me some food but I refused because of your stupid idea of being modest."
"You mean you rejected a food offer?" He repeated in disbelief.
"Uh..huh" I nodded my head.
" Oh my precious Luna. You are gradually letting go of all your weird characters and I am so happy for you"
"How is that supposed to stop the hunger that I feel right now?"
Just then, Tanya sauntered downstairs dressed in a black short skirt and a pink tank top coupled with black sneakers. Her hair was tied in a ponytail with pink ribbons and a light make up.
"I'm ready guys let's go"
" Where?" We chorused.
" To George's hotel. Let's go have some nice food and after that, we head to the cinema"
Food?
Oh my world! How does she know that I was in dire need of food.
"Yeyyyy" I exclaimed in excitement as we all walked out. Tanya drove out her Camry SE from the garage and stopped beside us. I and Mark hopped in. She ignited the car's engine and drove off. The car went silent as the cool music played in the background.
I let out a deep sigh of relief as the car finally pulled up before a huge building. We both got down. Tanya led the way and we followed suit. The moment I got in, my mouth dropped to the floor in the process.
Two chefs were in the oval bar cooking away. The sweet aroma of waffles and pancakes wafted in the air. It smelled delicious that I could almost taste the flavor in my mouth. Many customers were already settled and eating their food. My mouth couldn't help but watered just at looking at the other customers eat.
We both sat down and Tanya gestured for the waiter to come - he did.
"Luna. Tell him what you want" She said.
"Uhm. Get me blueberry pancakes and extra whipped cream" I ordered.
" What about you Mark"
" Same"
" Okay. Just get me waffles with strawberries and cookies n' cream ice cream on top"
The young man nooded and disappeared. I went quiet as i watched Mark and Tanya discuss and laugh about their past. Few moments later, our food arrived and we all quickly devoured it.
After leaving the store, Tanya drove us down to a huge building which she called cinema. We watched movies, ate popcorns and had a lot of fun.
When we finally got home, it was late and we were so tired as hell. We both fell on the bed tiredly.
"Meeting Tanya is definitely one of the best things that has happened to me since I came to earth" I muttered as sleep gradually took over me.
