Chapter VII

Today Ayen is going to meet her friends, Zai and Maret. at Shakeys Katipunan. Ayen was so exhilarated to see them because she haven’t seen them for more than three years.
At 4 pm, Ayen stood up, packed up her things and step out of the office. She walked towards Masigs Station and rode the train going to Katipunan Station. When the train arrived at Katipunan Station . She alighted from the train and she travel on foot heading towards Shakey’s because her friends are already there waiting for her.
It took her ten minutes to reach Shakeys because she was walking slowly. When she entered Shakeys she heard
a familiar voice
“Ayen” Maret screamed her name with anticipation.
“Ayen!! “ We are here!! said Maret with a big smile on her face
Ayen looked at them with glee.
Then, she went straight to them and hugged them.
“Ayen we miss you” said Zai
“I really missed you 4:30 girls”said Ayen
Then they all laughed together reminiscing the reason why they were called 4:30 girls.
“How are you Ayen ?” asked Maret
“I am pretty good” said Ayen.
Then, they started to tell interesting stories about their lives (from their work, officemates, boss and love life) They also reminisced the old times and crazy things they did together. Later, they burst into laughter due to their silliness way back then.
Suddenly, Maret told Ayen and Zai about the group of handsome boys sitting next to their table.
“Ayen and Zai, look!! there are group handsome boys behind you said Maret feeling giddy and excited.”
Ayen and Zai looked behind their back.
Ayen was astonished by the presence of the group of handsome boys sitting at their back, particularly the guy who wore Dark Burgundy Suit.
Zai noticed that Ayen looked anxious upon seeing those boys so she asked Ayen
“You looked uneasy, What is wrong? asked Zai
“My Professor was here “she mumbled to Maret and Zai
Where? Asked Maret
“ He was with the group of boys at the back” said Ayen “Do you see the guy who wore Dark Burgundy Suit that’s him “
“He is so handsome and his dimples are so cute “ said Maret
“Come on! Let’s move to different place before he notice me” said Ayen.
Why?asked Maret
I will tell you later said Aye
“Ok “ said Zai
“But Lets go to the wash room first “ said Maret
Like the old times said Ayen. They grinned as they walked to the washroom, after that, they left the washroom to go the exiterior door of the restaurant.
However, when Ayen was about to open the door someone held the door open for her. She was caught off guard and her eyes were widened upon seeing that the guy was Atty. Ayala and he was staring at her.
There eyes met, and Ayen suddenly felt her entire body feels light as if she was in an environment without gravity. Her heart skips, her hands are drenched with sweat, and her mind went black.
Afterwards, Maret tapped her shoulder and whispered “lets go”
And they move out and went to other place.
Atty. Ayala on the other hand proceed to her friends.
“John, where have you been? “Asked Marco. “ Renz has arrived”
“ I went to my car to get my wallet” said John and seated next to him
“Marco have you seen the three girls sitting there” said John.
“Yes but i saw them move out just now.” Why? asked Marco
“Do you remember the girl that i am telling you three years ago?”asked John
“Ah ! the girl who was crying in the church and the one you handed your favorite handkerchief” said Marco. “Also the girl who makes your heart beats faster.” he teased John “ love at first sight” he also added
“Exactly!! said John”
Why? asked Marco
“She is my student now” said Marco
What?? Marco was surprised
“And She was here a while ago. The girl with short hair wearing white shirt “ said John
Marco shook his head in amazement. and asked John “ So, What is your plans that you finally find her after three years of searching ? She is now in front of you” Marco added
“Honestly Bro, i really don’t know” said John
“Are you going to tell her about it? “ asked Marco
“Maybe it is not the right time” said John
“Are you going to court her?” asked Marco
For a moment John looked confused and then turned away. He knew that he cannot confessed her feeling for him because of the student - teacher relationship policy laid by the school.
Meanwhile, Ayen, Maret and Zai went to their favorite fastfood chain and order their fave meal.
“I missed this” said Maret . Can we do it more often?
Both Ayen and Zai smiled
Anyway, Ayen why are you hiding from your Professor? Maret asked
“Supposedly we have a class today “ said Ayen but Atty. Ayala suspended it because he has errand to do.”
She also told them that she was humiliated by Atty. Ayala on their first meeting and that’s why she was hiding from him.
“I see “ said Zai
“Infairness your Professor is so handsome . I think i am falling to him” said Maret
“Handsome???” Not really said Ayen with irritation.
“The more you hate the more you love” said Zai while laughing
“That’s true “ said Maret
Objection!! said Ayen. It is not applicable to me. I will never fall for him. Over my dead body said Ayen.
“It is already 8pm. Lets go home” said Ayen trying to put an end to their conversation.
They bid their goodbyes.
