MY PROFESSOR! MY DESTINY!

Chapter II

Ayen arrived at the office at 7 am in the morning. The first thing she do is to check her to do-list.

Then, her immediate supervisor arrived.

“Good morning Sir Jiggs “ said Ayen

Sir Jiggs replied “ Good Morning”

“Ayen as per phone conversation, with Sir Jeff ( CEO of the company) he wanted you to act as his representative to his meeting with Mr. Torres today at 9am at SB Manila” said Sir Jigs

“Mr. Torres is the registered owner of a parcel land located in Cavite” he added “Our company needs to buy his property because we need that for the expansion of our residential house project located in Cavite City.

“So prepare all the legal documents now and have it sign by Mr. Torres” Sir Jiggs told Ayen

“And also make sure to get all the documents we needed from him”he added.

“ Noted Sir “said Ayen

So after talking to Sir Jiggs, Ayen immediately went to her table, opened her laptop, and printed all the legal documents she needed for the meeting.

At 8 am she left the office using the company car and went straight to SB Manila to meet Mr. Torres.

Ayen arrived at 8:45 am at SB Manila. She decided to have breakfast, so she ordered Green Tea Iced and Spinach, Feta & Egg White Wrap while waiting for Mr. Torres .

Mr. Torres showed up at exactly 9am. Ayen stood up and introduced herself to Mr. Torres.

“Good morning, Sir Torres! I am Ayen Niece, Paralegal Officers from Dura Realty Incorporations “ and she extended her hand to Sir Torres

“Have a sit Sir! What do you want?” asked Ayen

“Caffe Americano and Glazed Doughnut” said Mr. Torres

After that she explained to him the reason why his boss ,Sir Jeff, could not attend their meeting.

“Sir Torres, my Boss Sir Jeff could not make it today’s meeting because he was confined in the hospital today due to gastritis. Actually, he really wanted to be here but the doctor was not allow him to discharge him ” said Ayen

“I understand “ said Mr. Torres

Then, they proceed to their agenda. Ayen handed him the Contracts and Mr. Torres read every contract thoroughly before affixing his signature to the bottom of it.

Mr. Torres was nice and articulate man and it was so easy to dealing business with him because as Vendor, he was open for suggestions and recommendations. That’s the reason why the transaction went smoothly between the two Parties because Mr. Torres agreed to the terms and conditions laid by Dura Realty Incorporations without objections. As a result, Mr. Torres affixed his signature to each of the documents.

Ayen was so elated because she was able to close the deal based on the terms and conditions stipulated by their company. Proud of her achievement, she called Sir Jigs instantly and informed him of the good news.

Sir Jigs was glad and uttered “Good Job Ayen” . Ayen was also instructed to bring the legal documents to Atty. Cir for notarization to which she agreed.

Before Ayen go to the Law Office of Atty. Cir. She decided to drop by at San Sebastian Church to thank the Lord for all the blessings she received that day.

Ayen entered the church and sat in front of and prayed . While Ayen was fervently praying she started to cry:

She cried because she was happy.

She cried because of the sadness she felt inside.

She cried because she felt that there was something missing in her life .

She cried because she was longing for something.

She cried because she was not able to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer.

She cried because she felt that she was left behind by her batch mates.

She cried because she felt that she was running of time.

Then, someone came to her, and put a handkerchief to her hand and said “Ms. take this”. Ayen suddenly opened her eyes to catch sight of the person who handed her a handkerchief but that person has disappeared.

This random act of kindness she received from a stranger console her and made her feel at ease. And for her she will never forget this forever.

While heading back to the Office. Ayen can’t refrained herself from thinking of that samaritan. She was curious of his identity, name, countenance and the reason why he chose her to receive his handkerchief.

Ayen considered the person, who handed her the handkerchief, as an angel sent by God to console her lonely soul. And she promised that someday when their paths cross again she will return the favor while holding the handkerchief so tightly.
