I'm Ready Pt. 3

        I ran inside feeling better. The rest of the week flew by. Alexander was in a mood. He’d been in the gym every day. I’d had EJ pop us there a few times. I was beginning to get nervous. What if I didn’t get a wolf? I knew that was crazy. My dad was an Alpha. My mom was a Gamma….I’d have a wolf. Then I started to get nervous and excited for after my shift. I was not looking forward to the pain of actually shifting. A pop sounded. I turned, “Cassie?” Cassie smiled, “Yup. My brothers are off beating things up at the gym. I thought I’d come check on you.” I hugged her, “I’m so nervous.” Cassie pulled back, “About shifting or about other stuff?” I turned red, “You know?” Cassie smiled, “I’m observant and sneaky. I also feel my brother's feelings. The only logical conclusion was he’s going to get lucky. Which he is ecstatic, nervous, and just dying to do. I thought I’d come see how you were feeling since I have no insight whatsoever to that.” 

            I laughed, “I’m excited but….nervous too. I don’t want to disappoint him.” Cassie laughed, “I don’t think you could disappoint him if you tried. He’s crazy about you.” I smiled, “Have you and Jason done it?” Cassie shook her head, “No….we both know we have an end date. We’ve done some stuff but….neither of us want to go all the way when we know we aren’t mates. I mean….I’d have to go off books for my first time if that's what I wanted to do.” I laughed, “Off books?” Cassie nodded, “Yeah…I feel like that would seal the deal of Jason and Alexander possibly having it out.” I frowned, “Seal the deal?” Cassie smiled, “I don’t officially know things, but I know things. One day my brothers will understand that….I’m sneaky and I have my ways.” I frowned, “Alexander is mad at Jason?” Cassie sighed, “Not exactly….getting there.....ish.” I frowned, “That makes no sense.” Cassie laughed, “When you know….you’ll know. It will all make sense. I promise.” I snorted, “They are such good friends though.” Cassie said, “It will get handled. Alexander loves Jason like a brother. This is not about him though. This is about you.” 

            I whispered, “What if I don’t get a wolf? Will EJ…?” Cassie held up her hand, “EJ will not care if you have a wolf or not. You’ll have one though. It wouldn’t matter to my brother if you didn’t. He thinks you hung the moon itself.” I smiled, “I’m more nervous about shifting than having sex.” Cassie laughed, “It’s you and EJ. That’s something you know. Even if it’s your first time you know him. You trust him. You love him. As he loves you. Shifting is different. I have no inspiring words to offer because...I don’t remember shifting.” I laughed, “It’s too bad. When Beta Dylan tells the story it’s pretty hilarious.” Cassie nudged me, “Hey, you should remember too. You were there.” I laughed, “I wish I did.” Cassie smiled, “I’m helping Uncle Aiden in court tonight….or I’d be staying.” I smiled, “I’m sure that makes your Uncle Happy.” Cassie smiled, “I just don’t want my mom there right now. It’s easier for me if I help. Makes me feel like I’m helping my mom.” We talked for a while before Cassie popped away. I went downstairs. Gosh I wish Melanie was here to distract me. She was always a chatterbox. Just talking away. Now there was nothing but silence. EJ needed to get here. I was a mess of nerves.

            My dad hugged me, “It will be alright Elise. Having your mate there makes the shift easier. I saw it myself when your Uncle Christopher shifted. I have to admit….I was a little jealous. Happy for him but….would’ve been nice if the fairies had shown up like two years sooner.” I laughed, “Emmaline was around, she just didn’t know Chelsea.” My dad laughed, “That’s also true.” EJ popped into our house. I ran to him. He asked how I was. Not so good. I tapped his wrist. He knew I wanted to make sure no one could hear us. I started to list off all my concerns. EJ simply kissed me making it hard for me to focus on anything but his lips. He reassured me, but I was solely focused on his lips. I kissed him again. When I broke apart from him I hugged him tightly. I told him I was glad that he was here. He told me the only place he would ever be was at my side. My insides melted. He was perfect. My dad cleared his throat. He gave me a knowing look and said we needed to get outside. 

            I’d told them I wanted to shift for the first time in EJ and I’s spot. It was a safe space for me. When we got there I started looking around. I could swear I smelled Melanie. She jumped out and yelled ‘surprise.’ My mom and dad started laughing. I ran to her and hugged her. I asked what she was doing here. She told me that she was letting someone else win for once. If she was anyone else I’d have laughed. She was right though. If she was there. She won. I caught EJ’s facial expression. He was annoyed. I was sure he’d wanted to do the same thing I had. Have Alexander and Melanie meet. If someone had known this was a surprise then…..problem solved. Melanie looked around. She asked where Cassie was. Aww….she thought Alexander would be here. I didn’t want to make her feel bad by telling her...he absolutely would’ve been here if he’d known she was. Maybe EJ could link him. 

            I was astonished when he said that Alexander was on a mission. EJ told me he’d just found out. These two were impossible! Coming up with missions, dance competitions….Cheese and Rice would this crap ever stop?! Melanie might have to go with her whole get to New York and lie about an emergency plan at this rate. At least that was at least our fallback plan. Melanie’s whole face fell. I knew she was worried. Dalton told her I’d be fine. My dad rolled his eyes. My mom buried her head in his chest. I shared a look with EJ. We knew what Melanie was really worried about. I waited with bated breath as time ticked by. When midnight came around I couldn’t stop my scream of pain. I saw Melanie’s terrified face. Everything felt like it was breaking inside me. I felt arms around me. I heard a purr in my head. I sighed in relief. I had a wolf. My wolf said, “Of course you have a wolf. You’re an Alpha…..our mate is handsome. I’ve never known the moment I’ve come to someone who our mate is…. but your memories show me who he is. It seems to be easier shifting with him here than this has been with my humans in the past.” Curiosity got to me. I asked, “How many humans have you had? What’s your name?” My wolf purred again, “He’s just….yummy. I’m Rhea. What’s his wolf's name?” I answered, “Brutus.” Rhea purred, “I’ve had ten humans before you.” I smiled, “Well….I’m glad you’re with me Rhea.” 

            Rhea answered, “Likewise….this will hurt a bit. Then I’ll be out. After this…..it doesn't hurt like this again.” I could feel my bones breaking, but it wasn’t as awful as I thought. Or when it started before EJ wrapped me in his arms. The next thing I knew I was beside Brutus. I looked down. My paws were black. Brutus nuzzled my neck and Rhea did the same. My dad told me to take my first run. I let Rhea have control as we bounded off into the woods. I heard Melanie say I looked beautiful. Rhea felt fiercely protective over Melanie the second she heard her voice. I howled with joy. EJ was chasing me. Rhea linked, “He’s teasing us. I mean….whew hot damn! That wolf is hot. I know from your memories you want to jump his bones tonight. I am SO on board.” I laughed, “I thought you might be. I’m waiting on being marked though.” Rhea said, “That’s fine by me.” Rhea and Brutus started to play together. I caught my reflection in the pond. I was black just like EJ. Brutus pinned Rhea and suddenly shifted back. Rhea purred, “Well….my my my. Look at him. We are lucky. I’m going to let you come forward. I’ll show you how to shift back. Then you go get us some Elise Kyle.” I laughed, “I like you.” Rhea smirked, “I like you too.” 

            The second I was naked in my human form underneath EJ. His jaw clenched. I could feel how hard he was against my thigh. EJ asked what my wolf’s name was. Rhea linked, “Oh I like him. I like him a lot.” I told him her name was Rhea. EJ started purring her name. He didn’t even seem to realize that he was doing it. He nuzzled my neck and kissed my one day marking spot. Rhea linked, “God damn….jump his bones Elise!” I snorted, “We are going to.” I told him he needed to conjure the treehouse. I was worried Rhea might take over and just have s*x with him. Rhea said, “Sure. Blame the wolf. I know you want to jump him just as bad as I do.” I smoked, “True.” EJ asked if I was sure. I told him I was. I watched the treehouse come to life. Rhea whispered, “Wow….he’s….like….wow.” I echoed her though. I turned around and caught EJ admiring my naked body. I walked back over and kissed him. He popped us inside. He took his time. Until I begged him to claim me. He’d been between my legs giving me orgasm after orgasm. Rhea was totally sold on EJ and Brutus. She was incoherent babbling in my head. EJ finally climbed back up my body and told me that he loved me. I told him that I loved him too. I told him to claim me. I felt the tip of him beneath me. I nodded to him. I was ready.

            He slowly pushed in. It was a little uncomfortable. But I was adjusting. When he got to my hymen I winced. It was a brief pinch. Nothing terrible. Once he was all the way in Rhea linked me, “In case you were wondering….the man is WELL endowed.” I flushed, “RHEA!” Rhea snickered, “I’m just saying WOWZERS!” She was at least distracting me. I told EJ to give me a minute. His entire body was taut with tension, but he was giving me time. Slowly I relaxed and my body adjusted. I told him to move. He slowly moved in and out. He was hitting a spot inside me that was driving me wild. Rhea purred, “This is why I said wowzers.” EJ told me I was tight. I couldn't think about anything but the motion he was making. I didn’t want him to stop. It felt so good. I felt his fingers on my c**t. I was so close. When he told me to come my body couldn’t deny him. He owned me, mind, body, and soul. I screamed, “EJ!” I left my body for a brief moment. I felt almost complete. He’d claimed me. I’d claimed him. Once we were marked…..it would be official. My eyes were drifting closed. EJ asked if I was ok. Ok? I was so much more than ok. I told him that I loved him, and I was out. I was vaguely aware of his arms around me. It was a perfect moment in time that I wished I could freeze. Everything was perfect.
