The unspoken feelings

Having moved from rural areas to a city was so exciting for little Annah,all she could see was endless possibilities and a breath of fresh air,she dared to dream something she knew nothing Everything was exactly how she had always imagined it, big buildings, beautiful cars,so many people,so many shops it was like a dream come true for the little girl,soon she got settled in and started school,she loved everything about her new life,her schoolmates were so friendly to her most probably because she was from the other side of the country,the almost forgotten side,the side where people go to when they have lost hope in life.Soon after she had new friends and was thriving,she joined the schools extra curriculum activities and as a result she had to go on her first trip (a business activities trip).everything was new to her,she was living the life she had always dreamt of,the day if the trip soon came and she got an opportunity to see more of the city and travel,the whole way she would stick her tiny face outside the window and just let the wind gently brush against her soft skin,making her feel like she could stay in that moment forever,they soon arrived,the following morning they gathered in a hall along with students from different schools from all over the country,there she met what she thought was the love of her life,little Annah had never dated before,she was clueless but when she caught the first glimpse from that one boy something in her moved and all she wanted to do was know what was going on with her,after the introductions the students were advised to mingle and form groups consisting of 2 students each from each school,she somehow found herself in the same group with the mysterious boy,all she could do is stare in admiration,she dared not to say a word to him.after the groups were formed they each got assigned with different projects to work on,that was it for the first day.Soon after they were taken to the nearest mall,and in the bus the boy sat behind her,they went into the shops and she bought a chocolate with the message "be mine" determined to give it to him once they returned to the bus,as soon as they got back she thought about giving him the chocolate but she froze in confusion,before she could even decide what to do next her friend snatched the chocolate from her hand and opened it, little Annah giggled as she looked back to check on her crush,her heart beating at least a million times per minute,she was so drawn to him but didn't know what to do or what to say to him,when they got back to the school she told her friend about her feelings and asked her to tell the guy for her because she was scared,the friend went and did the opposite,turns out she herself wanted the boy also.when she came back she told little Annah "the boy said he doesn't want you"her little world came crushing down upon hearing those bitter words,her first ever rejection,she didn't dare say anything for the whole trip.just when she thought she could move on with her life and forget the boy one day she went to church with her mother and she was so relaxed in the middle of the congregation that nothing bothered her until she felt a stare from across the church,when she stole a glance boom it was the same guy she was trying to forget,she froze in disbelief,when she got home she told her nanny all about it,the nanny adviced her to go look for the guy's number from a friend and confess all her feelings,of which she did.she spent several sundays not missing church in an effort to see the handsome Ralph again,but Sunday after Sunday all she got were the memories of seeing him there,he wasn't there.She decided to take the nanny's advice and started befriending his friends until one day she got his number,she couldn't wait to get home so that she can call him,when she got home she told the nanny "finally I got his number,what should I do next"? the nanny was excited for her and told her "now you can confess your feelings,he won't turn you down I have tried it before and it has worked for me"little Annah got so excited she started texting Ralph and soon after they started calling each other but in the midst of it all Ralph said to little Annah "I'm happily in a relationship,the only thing I can offer you is friendship"of which she accepted because in her mind being friends with him is better than not talking to him at all,time went by and they became really close friends until one day she felt like it was now time to remind him of her feelings again which yielded the same results,she could almost feel the intense chemistry between them but he wasn't at all bothered by it.she kept pushing and pushing until he couldn't take it anymore,he stopped talking him and he blocked her,at this point everyone at church knew little Annah had a crush on Ralph and their age mates loved gossiping about it especially when they saw little Annah,which made her to lose her self esteem,she started doubting her whole existence,years passed by and she kept to herself,only wet to church once in a month until they graduated from high school,she told herself that she would do anything possible to forget Ralph and move on with her life,but in every guy she met,she saw him which made her want him even more,but she still kept to herself until one day a friend from church told her Ralph was hosting a camping getaway,she loved adventure so she went to camping,she alsaw him again and all those memories and feelings came back even stronger than before,once bitten twice shy,she didn't dare say anything about her feelings to him but she still couldn't help but stare ,which he also did,they had a lovely weekend that they immediately started planning for another camping trip,which also went by so well until the last day.it was raining and Annah didn't have anywhere to sleep because the tent she was using was not waterproof,the only option she had was to go sleep in a tent that was waterproof which Ralph and a few of his friends were already occupying,she and the other camper went to talk to them about accommodating them,inside the tent they had 2 air mattresses 1 double and 1 single,the double mattress had Ralph and his cousin and the single mattress had 1 male camper,of course Annah saw a chance to be closer to the man she loves once again and she took it,she squashed between Ralph and his cousin,hoping that something was gonna happen that night,after everyone went to sleep Ralph went outside the tent intending to wait for Annah but she wasn't sure whether to go or not and she ultimately did not go,he came back and went to sleep,they following morning they had to go back to their homes and Ralph couldn't even maintain eye contact like he used to,he was awfully shy.the went on with their lives but they couldn't keep their eyes off each other wherever they see other,Annah even began to think Ralph might want her,she got her hopes so high she can already see them having kids and married.Even though he was now starting to show interest in her,she was scared,she didn't know what to make of it,so instead of reciprocating his energy she ignored him but was secretly hoping that he wouldn't give up on persuing her.when all his efforts failed he then resorted to dating her best friend, hoping that would bring her closer to him,but all it did was hurt her even more.
