Episode Four

Chapter seven

Slyverken's Point Of View

it is been two weeks since I assumed duties as Alpha of the Moonlight pack. My dad, Alpha Riddick and his Beta Jonas, are my advisers. My Beta and best friend Michelle, just walked in to my office and asked me to call an emergency meeting. I did and here we are. Present are my dad, his Beta, my mom, Michelle and my Gamma and personal bodyguard James, a sub-commander of the red moon pack's elite unit assigned to me, three years ago. Michelle, everyone is here can you please tell me what this is all about? ' Yes, Alpha, it is about Alpha Brian and I think it is best if Commander James explains it himself as I am still not sure I understand everything yet." Commander James, kindly explain what's going on here? 'Alpha, if you remember, two weeks ago a savage attack was launched on the red moon pack. By the time we got there it was late and everyone thought Alpha Brian was either killed or abducted during the attack?' Yes Commander " Well,it turns out he is alive and outside the state" What? "Yes, Alpha, he arrived on the scene of the attack a few hours before us, he was the one responsible for the death of the fifty rogues we found there. He was whisked out of there by Beta Lewis, Gamma Daemon and Delta Greg. As of twenty minutes ago, he opened a mind link to all his pack members, and accepted new pack warriors. When the link was opened I was surprised, he not only survived but is rebuilding the pack under a new name, the vermon claw pack. He is actively recruiting and has settled in New York.' Back up Commander, did you just say New York? 'Yes, Alpha' Of course, I should have thought of it, he would go to the one place you have to be a fool to attack him at, the shadow college for wolves. At this, I started pacing around the room. What else do we know Commander? 'Alpha, after the link closed, I tried connecting with Alpha Brian but something was blocking the connection, I think he was preoccupied and not allowing the link. I received surprising orders about ten minutes ago, all the elite teams and their subcommander are to report to your pack house before proceeding to New York for redeployment.' wait how many such teams are there? I thought there was only one. And how many men are we looking at? 'Alpha, there are four elite teams,each comprising twenty-five of the best trained warrior wolves, that is a hundred men. But only eighty of them are to report here.' And why are they reporting to me and not any other pack? 'Alpha, it seems Alpha Brian is aware you are looking for him and that you have been keeping tabs on the group sent after him. He wants you to know,he knows and he is expecting you to show up, plus he needs all the help he can get, there is an assassin pack with three hundred members all chasing his tail and he's preparing for war.' So, his calling on the only people he knows he can trust then. Commander prepare to receive the others when they arrive and prepare my unit and your unit as well, we depart as soon as the others are rested enough. Father, I need you to take over the reins of the pack in my absence. 'Wait Alpha' Yes Michelle "If you are going, so am I" Okay, then prepare,we need to contact the college to let them know we are arriving soon. "Alpha, the vice principal of the college called, they are expecting us" Well, that is fast. it is settled then, we leave in two days, everyone dismissed. At that they all left to do their preparations. "Slyverken" yes father "am proud of the Alpha you have become. You are ready to pay our depths to the red moon pack. Your loyalty to him, is all I could have ever asked for. Am proud to be your dad" Thanks father, he nodded and left. I do not know why but my wolf was getting restless and kept reminding me of how I successfully seduced the stubborn Alpha as a teenager. This would be a good way to apologise for misbehaving with him.

Brian's Point Of View

At lunchtime, we left the classroom and entered the cafeteria. Immediately, I knew Cath had done her work, there was a large place cleared in the center of the cafeteria as if expecting a fight. My Gamma female is really innovative. We ordered some food and took our seats in the center of the room. All eyes were on us,as we began eating our French fries with milkshake. The school bully entered from the other side of the room and made a bee line straight for me. I laughed in my head, this is going to be easier than I thought. When he arrived at our table, he chuckled and said "this table is taken newbie, pack your s**t and clear out" I could feel my men tense and the room became deathly quiet. I ignored him and continued eating like nothing happened, out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Catherine looking on from the doorway tensed. I kept him in my peripheral vision and continued to eat my food, this seemed to annoy him further, he made a move to grab my plate. I stopped him halfway, turned to face him and said, if I were you I would clear out of here for your own good. He seemed taken aback by my response, his face contorted in anger and I could feel his wolf straining to be let out. I laughed, I turned to see Daemon, Lewis and Greg watching him with death in their eyes. Lewis said 'Alpha allow me to teach him a lesson'. I shook my head and he nodded. They took up their positions around me. I rose and faced the bully also know as Alpha Dennis. So, you are the famous Alpha bully? You do not look like much to me. At this he threw a punch at my face, I caught his hand before it could have connected with my face. I gave him a wicked punch in the face that threw him off and he landed on the other side of the room. I saw him surrender himself to his wolf and shifted on the spot in anger. Everyone gasped but I continued to watch him closely. I lengthened my canines and my fingers extended into claws but that is as far as I would go transformation wise. He launched at me from the floor, I sidestepped him and avoided the blow but I clutched his head in a vice like grip and commanded him to submit. All the Alphas were shocked. Some were impressed, others angry that I wanted an Alpha to submit to me. Just as I predicted Alpha Dennis was too proud to consider submitting. I tightened my grip on his neck blocking off his oxygen supply. He tried kicking and clawing me with his feet. This angered me, I loosened my grip and released him. He fell to the floor in a clutter, gasped for breath and launched at me again. This time, I met him halfway through the jump, I clutched his neck in one hand and raised him in the air with his feet clawing the air for support." I told you to submit and I will not be repeating myself," with that I broke his legs and arms while still holding him with one hand. I dropped him to the floor and felt my wolf take over. My eye color changed to deep blue but I did not shift. He said in a menacing voice, when we say submit,we mean it, now submit or die by my hands right here right now. His wolf whimpered and bowed his head in submission. I closed my eyes and regained control over my wolf. I opened them to see him shift back into human form totally naked and said 'I am sorry for disrespecting you Alpha King'. He bowed his head in defeat, I looked to daemon who produced spare clothes from his bag, I covered him up and said make sure it does not happen again and what is your name?. He nodded again although in visible pain and answered Alpha Denise of the Stone Pack. I nodded at Catherine and two hospital staff bearing a stretcher appeared and took him away. Everyone in the room looked at me in surprise, no one has ever made an Alpha submit to another Alpha but I did just that. It could only mean one thing, I am an Alpha King as Alpha Denise said earlier, which in it itself makes me a rare kind of wolf. They all rose and turned towards me and fell on their knees. Alpha king they chorused, they pledged their loyalty and that of their packs to me. Immediately, I felt power like never before hitting me, flowing through my veins and body. I looked at Lewis, Daemon and Greg and knew they also felt the power course through me, they bowed their heads in respect and said Alpha king Brian, it is an honor to be in your service. I opened a mind link to everyone in the school, arise and welcome to the new era.

My rein has just started, now it is time for revenge.

Slyverken's Point Of View

All the teams are in place and all the arrangements have been made and all are waiting for my signal to move out. While I was preparing to brief the men on the mission ahead, Beta Michelle and Gamma James entered my office unceremoniously with grim expressions on their faces. I asked' what is this time?' "Alpha,we have a problem" Go on am listening. "Alphas Harris,Red and Gin are at it again. They have made an alliance with the rogues and are offering them training, they plan to attack us soon. And our information say Alpha Brian would be attacked tonight" Wait, they want to attack my pack? Why? " They know you intend to help Alpha Brian, that means you have declared your stance, something the other packs have not done yet and that means you are now considered an enemy hence the declaration of war on you" So, they want war, well war they would have. Gamma, take care of the security arrangements, Beta set up a meeting with Alpha Brian via Skype and make sure we are ready for war, also set up a meeting with the other Alphas,it is time they chose a side in this war and the meeting should be via Skype if possible, our movements may already be monitored "Yes Alpha" You may leave.

Just when things were going well.

Lewis's Point Of View

Who would have thought, Alpha Brian would complete his mission quickly and that too on the first day of school. We have interesting times ahead, he just announced a meeting with all Alphas in an hour. Now, my job as the Beta of Betas has just begun in honest. Daemon, Greg, Catherine and I quickly left the scene with Alpha Brian hard on our heels. I just coordinated with the other Betas for this meeting. The venue is set and Daemon is in charge of security and Greg is back up. The meeting just started when my phone vibrated, I had a message from Beta Michelle, Alpha Slyverken's Beta, they want to set up a meeting immediately with Alpha Brian, it is an emergency.

Brian's Point Of View

Halfway through the meeting, I saw Beta Lewis's face contort in anger and that can only mean something just came up. I cleared my throat and asked ' is everything alright Beta of Betas' "No, Alpha we may have a problem and you will not like it" Am all ears "Alpha Slyverken wants an emergency meeting with you via Skype, she and her Beta are on the line." Okay connect them to the flat screen, I would like to know what this emergency is about. With that he left to do the arrangements. Alphas, I hope you do not mind the interruption, they said no. Then the screen lit up with the face of two women. I immediately recognized them as the older versions of Slyverken and her best friend and sidekick, now Beta, Michelle. Hello, Alpha Slyverken, Beta Michelle, how do you do? "Alpha Brian, it is good to know you still recognize us, but that is not why I wanted to talk to you. Alpha Harris, Alpha Red and Alpha Gin have declared war on me and the assassins would attack you tonight." There was dead quiet in the room, everyone was thinking hard. Alpha Slyverken, thanks for the heads up and do not worry you are not alone. My men would fight to the death to protect you. You have a hundred of my men at your disposal use them well, I will send reinforcement and would come to your aid myself,as soon as I deal with the assassins, you have my word as your friend and King. She seemed surprised but recovered well and bowed in respect," my king you are most kind" with that being said, the connection was disconnected. Everyone lapsed into silence. Okay Alphas, I need a team of your best trained men for this war. Beta Lewis,call in Gamma Daemon and Delta Greg. They entered immediately. Delta Greg, prepare for war, I want our men ready to leave at a moment's notice. Alphas if you will excuse me, I need to plan my battle strategy,this meeting is adjourned. Everyone stood, paying their respect as they left. Alone with my officers, I smiled sheepishly. Take a seat boys, it is just like old times. First we need to set a trap for the assassin pack. I would prefer to stage it here on campus tonight as a matter of fact. They nodded in agreement. We need Catherine's permission to use the training grounds. As if on cue, Catherine entered discreetly and took her place beside Daemon, she smiled shyly and said, the training grounds are yours to use Alpha. I nodded. Okay, now this is how it would go, Lewis, Daemon and Greg, take our men and surround the training grounds but make sure, your scents are musked, I do not want them knowing you are there. I will be the bait and draw them in, no one is to attack without my permission. I do not think the whole clan would attack at once,all I need to do is defeat their three commanders, as they do not have an Alpha. While I engage them, you guys will discreetly creep up on them and when I give the signal immobilize them. After wards,we leave for home and finish this once and for all. Okay? They nodded, stood up and left to prepare.

Chapter Eight

Slyverken's Point Of View

As soon as the connection was disconnected, I instructed Beta Michelle to set up a meeting with all the other Alphas,who are members of the alliance and preferably via Skype as we are all under surveillance. She nodded and left to set it up. Thirty minutes later,my dad entered my office and my flat screen lit up with the faces of the other five Alphas who are part of the alliance. Good morning, Alphas it is good to know you still respond to this emergency summons. As of now, the Alphas who betrayed Alpha Jon have declared war on me,as is stipulated in the alliance we are honor bound to lend a supporting hand to each other when needed,we couldn't protect our leader Alpha Jon, but we can protect each other and his son. At this  Alpha Rand asked but 'Alpha Jon's son's whereabouts is unknown' Alphas, Alpha Jon's son, Alpha Brian Armstrong is alive and well,he intends to return home as soon as possible, but that is not why we are hear. I need you all to prepare for war, when Alpha Brian gives us word, we will respond to this rogue Alphas. In the meantime, strength your boundaries, increase your border patrols and alert me if you notice anything fishy. Then this meeting is adjourned until when Alpha Brian is ready give us instructions on the way forward. They nodded and disconnected. My,my this war isn't going to be easy, I rose and left to supervise the training of my men.

Brian's Point Of View

I walked through the training grounds with my officers tailing me discreetly. I walked like I did not have a care in the world but my senses were heightened. It took me a few seconds to pick them up. Finally, the assassins are here and they are making their approach quietly. It took all my training to pick up their paws silently hitting the ground, from the movement it seems they are moving in formation, three hundred wolves trained for one thing only,hunt and kill. This is going to be the ultimate test of my skills,my wolf seemed thrilled at the prospect of battle with someone equally trained as us. I quickly started running, this caused the assassin wolves to increase their speed making it easier to pick them up, and making them break formation as they became engrossed in the hunt. I laughed in my head, they think they are hunting me? I am rather hunting them on my grounds,on my terms. I increased the tempo of my run, leading tem into training grounds four, the only one that can handle the number of wolves who are converging here today. I stopped in the middle of the training ground and waited patiently for them. They slowed down and approached cautiously, three detached themselves and raced ahead of the rest to towards me, the rest encircled us warily. Their leader shifted into his human form and addressed me" Alpha Brian Armstrong, it is an honor to be the one responsible for your death, you are indeed a legend" Only someone from my past knows my full name and you will not be killing me tonight, that I can promise you.  He was taken aback by my response,he signaled his two lieutenants to go on and attack me. They moved in formation, one going for the right, the other the left. I waited patiently for them. They launched at me simultaneously, I nodded and took attack stance, I skipped away from wolf on my right and knocked out the one on my left with one punch to the jaw. He dropped out cold on the floor, I turned to meet the wolf on my right side and beckoned him forward. He jumped at me and I ducked and caught him in a vice-like grip. I held on, depriving him of air until he slumped unconscious in my grip. I released him and turned to see their leader watching me in surprise. He couldn't understand how I knocked out two of his best men and that too, in my human body. He was shaking with rage as he shifted into his wolf, I nodded and shifted into my wolf and met him halfway with an attack of my own. We fought for ten minutes, with him launching the attack and me defending. I watched him try every trick he could think of to no avail. I gave my wolf full control and launched an attack that is a combination of Lycan attack and warrior attack, I launched at him, kicking him in the rear and griping his neck in my canines. I tossed him around like a toy and he hit the ground with a loud thud. I howled menacingly and every wolf within a ten Mile radius heard my howling and responded in kind. Every wolf that heard me howling, raced to the school campus and training grounds to pay their respect. The leader of the assassin clan bowed his head in respect,he accepted me as his Alpha. I turned to see my officers take their positions around me daring anyone to challenge my claim as the Alpha King. All the Alphas within a ten Mile radius,came and pledged their loyalty and that of their packs to me. I howled again and everyone joined in. it is official, I am the new Alpha King. I shifted back to my human form and wore clothes provided for me by my Beta. Everyone did the same, I turned and addressed my new subjects"Alphas, Lunas, Betas,Gammas, Deltas and Commanders present, my name is Alpha Brian Armstrong, your new Alpha King. I am not here to tell you how to run your packs, I need only your loyalty and cooperation in all matters. Firstly,there should be no internal bickering and fights, I need you all to be united for the development of our kind, for us to build a better future for our future generations but before that I have a war to finish, I did not start this war but I intend to finish it. Anyone willing to fight by my side, should let me know, we race out to Atlanta tomorrow at dusk." They all nodded and requested permission to prepare for the upcoming war, seeing as they have only a few hours, "and Alphas, I do not need you to bring all of your warriors, I need only twenty five of your best trained men, that should be enough for this war, then report to my pack grounds at 14 hours GMT." They nodded and left with their pack members at their heels,all but one, the leader of the assassin clan was waiting to have a word,with me. "Alpha King Brian, I would like to merge my clan/pack with yours, with your permission of course" And why do you ask that? "I am not an Alpha, my King it would be a great honor to be a part of your pack." And your pack, do they concur with your suggestion? "Yes, Alpha" I looked at my Beta and he nodded. Okay, from today onwards we are one, and you are Commander Jenkins of the Vernom Claw Pack. Now let us go home and get some sleep for it is going to be a long night for us. Everyone nodded,we shifted into our wolves and raced back to the pack grounds. Gamma Daemon and Delta Greg, you are responsible for the accommodation of the newest additions to the pack. They nodded. Upon arrival,I headed to my room, whilst my Beta, Gamma and Delta took care of the arrangements. At 13 hours GMT, the Alphas and their warriors began to troop in, everyone was assembled and ready,at 17 hours GMT, I gave the order and everyone shifted into their wolves and we raced with me leading the way.

Lewis' Point Of View

As soon as the others arrived, Daemon, Greg and I began arranging them in groups for the march back to Atlanta, our home and former pack house. I deployed trackers to cover our tracks from behind, scouts to, check for signs of danger. Alpha gave the order and we all shifted and started the long run to Atlanta. we passed through alot of pack borders on the way but did not have any problems as their Alphas where part of the march. We moved in formation with Alpha Brian leading, me, Daemon and Greg and now Jerkins following closely in triangular formation. The march was brisk and without event but my wolf was acting on edge, like he couldn't wait to get back to Atlanta, which was funny because the last time,all he wanted to do was leave and never go back. I mind linked Alpha, and realized he was also fighting for control with his wolf,who wanted to go faster,now that is weird. We ran for two hours without pause and arrived at the  Red Moon pack house,where we stopped at the boundary and as, I asked Beta Michelle, everything was perfect. The pack house looks like it was rebuilt with all the lights on and bustling with activity, this was a detour to mask our arrival. Alpha seemed impressed and nodded at me in approval, the border patrols were already told of our arrival and where busily searching the treelines for any sign of our arrival. I signaled the scouts and they and the trackers surrounded us in formation as we made our approach towards the pack house. The guards bowed in respect as we passed them by,as per arrangement, the Alphas detached into their various groups and shifted back to human form, clothing was already provided, everyone changed and entered the pack house through the back door, Alpha Brian, myself, Gamma Daemon and Delta Greg supervised the movement with Commander Jerkins shadowing Alpha, as soon as everyone entered,we entered lastly and I was assaulted by the delicious smell of pineapple, I followed it with Alpha, Greg and Jerkins following suit, I stopped in front of Beta Michelle and growled 'mine'.

Slyverken's Point Of View

Finally, everyone is here. Alpha King Brian Armstrong and his army of Alphas are finally here, I could feel the power radiated by the hundred Alphas in the room but Alpha Brian was conspicuously missing as usual. I, Michelle, my friend Grace, Bernie and Catherine, Gamma Daemon's mate were in charge of organizing everyone when the strong smell of strawberry,wafted into my nostrils, I turned and followed the smell only for my eyes to land on a gorgeous, handsome and blue eyed, curly head mountain of muscle,who was my mate. Alpha Brian's eyes lit up on seeing me and we growled at the same time 'mate'

Greg's Point Of View

Alpha Brian and Lewis just found their mates,how surprising. I was just about to congratulate them, when the smell of bananas drifted into my nostrils, I looked around and standing in front of me was a goddess of beauty, a Light skinned,brunette with astonishing brown eyes, I growled 'mine'. She shyly introduced herself as Grace.

Jerkins' Point Of View

Everything just went up a whole new level, Alpha Brian, Beta Lewis and Delta Greg just found their mates. My job as the king's shadow meant I was not to be seen unless necessary, even though Alpha Brian said that precaution was unnecessary here,I still stayed in his shadow. Lewis was standing in front of his mate, whiles Greg and his mate where having a staring competition, Alpha and his mate were hugging each other when it hit me, the smell of lavender, I looked around and saw her. She stood with her back to me and was serving one of the Alphas who was trying to flirt with her. My wolf took control, looked to Alpha Brian for permission to break protocol,he nodded and I moved out of the shadow snarling all the while. She stiffened at my approach and the Alpha backed away quietly, she turned to look at me and said "mate. Hi, I am Bernie" I took her out stretched hand and kissed it growling "mine" I am Commander Jerkins by the way. ' it is a pleasure to meet you, Jerkins' she gave me a shy smile
