The Ex- Chapter 8 In which they come in contact POV-AMARA ********************************************* 3 weeks later Lucian and I haven"t really talked to each other since the incident. We have seen each other across the table of the meeting room. Since we are working together it"s a little hard to avoid him. Trust me I have tried, but I have a job to do. There isn"t much to say really. I was crushed. That is not going to happen again. I hope, learning to control the waterworks. Liana was currently at the house of a close college friend. She is the reason I am doing all of this. Some say the parents teach their children, I think it"s the other way around. She thought me to be independent and to know what I am fighting for. I do know what I am fighting for and that is a beautiful baby girl named, Liana. At this time I have decided to take some time off. I decided the best choice would be the quaint and cozy coffee shop a few blocks away from my home. I can"t count on my fingers how much I have gone to this place when things get tough. Lets just say they know my order by heart. The coffee shop is very warm, not in the literal form. The cozyness really gets to me it reminds me of my family home. I sigh not wanting to remember. I usually come here alone. For a fact I never brought anyone with me not even Liana. However, I decided it was time to contact my sister. We lost contact a year before the divorce. I guess we clicked away and never really tried again. I found out she was a little out for my husband, I mean Lucian. She had a diary in which she would express her feelings and desires. I snooped, I knew I shouldn"t have but I really couldn"t stop myself. I wish I had. ----FLASHBACK---- "Alex, where are you?" Looking for my sister who I was visiting for a week. The family is setting up the table and I had the task of getting my sister out of her room. The hardest task, I mean it"s literally a mission that is impossible. You had to claw her away from there I still have the scratch from a few days ago. To hell with the job assignment. I think they are out for my doom. I miss Lucian he couldn"t make it he had business to attend to, what a shame. "Alex?" Calling for her but to no avail she didn"t answer. She probably was listening to music on her headphones. Pushing the door open before stepping inside the floral pink room of my sister Alessandra. She was nowhere to be found. Huh. Perfect I think it"s time for payback for that scratch. I can still feel it throbbing. Looking for something precious that she might miss. Losing something important is her biggest fear. I know she is so weird. She says it"s because of her losing something dear to her years back, but I still think it"s strange. Shoving drawers open nothing came to me. That gave me an idea. When we were kids she would hide things under her mattress when she didn"t want it found. Pushing the mattress up with a little strain. Aha I was correct, that dummy. I smiled to myself and stuck a hand in to pick out a solid square figure. Pulling it out with my eyebrows creased. A book well more specifically a diary. It was navy blue with the word "Desire" scribbled neatly at the top with cursive writing. Feeling proud of the great find I shoved it under my shirt where it wasn"t visible. I wasted enough time, so I made my way to the guest room that is mine for the time being and placed it under stacks of multi colored clothes. I made my way to the family dining room and found her sitting there. "Where were you I was looking for you." I sat in the open space in front of her. "Oh yeah, I had to get something." I nodded in understanding and getting ready to dive into the delicious food . ----------------------------- I sat their with a blank canvas for a face deciding whether to read it or not. This kind of diary didn"t have a lock with just stoked the fire of my temptation. A mischievous look then appeared on my features. This is going to be good making up my mind I roughly grabbed the book and frantically rushing through the pages. The grin then dropped when I got to actually read the neat cursive writing. She always did have nice handwriting. "The feelings have increased I push them down but they come back with double the strength." "The only person in the way is my sister, how do I get her out of the way." To say I was shocked would be an understatement. I don"t know whether I should feel sad, angry, disappointed or shocked. ------------------Flashback Over------------------- Snapped out of my daze by the scraping of a chair in front of me. She just sat there and waited for me to say something. But in honesty I don"t know what to say. "Hello Alessandra." -MORE CHAPTERS ON WATTPAD
