Pizza

This is all made up; please don't hold anything against me.   Grayson’s P.O.V I was sitting on the couch when the doorbell rang. I wasn’t expecting anyone, and if I was, they knew that they could just walk right in, so someone ringing my doorbell this late at night was really weird. As I get closer to the door, I sniff the air, and I imminently know who it is on the other side of the door. I open the door and the first words out of my mouth are, “Hi, Julian. How are you doing? What did you bring us this time?” Julian stands there in the doorway holding two pizza boxes in his hand like he is holding a tray; he also kind of does his lazy what the f**k pose that he does, but he somewhat knows how I found him out. “Good. What about you, Grayson? And your usual. Extra Cheese, sausage, bacon, and black olives.” He says pointing to the top box, and I feel a small thing of gruel going down the right side of my chin as he is naming off what is on my pizza. “So, you going to keep me out here with the pizzas; where the pizzas are getting cold, or are you going to let me in? And how did you know it was me, anyway? I wear a different colon tonight.” He says as I move aside to let him in the house. I eyeing my pizza as he walks past me; once he was a good one to two feet way, rush pass him, I grab my pizza, went back to my seat, put it on my lap, and opened it to see that it is not my pizza. He tricked me when he had pointed to the top box when he was naming off my toppings. I look up at him cause by this point, he is by his spot by the beanbag in the living-room and say with a glare, “You got in the way of me and my food. Tell me why I shouldn’t punch you hard; even a little bit.” He just smiles at me, grabs his pizza from my lap before I do anything to it and place mine where his was. “There happy? So, what are we watching tonight?” I reply with a little bit of a glare still, “A little, and coach assigned us to watch our opponents past games, so we know what we’re up against, and be prepared for them next weekend. Also, any cute girls during your delivery runs today or tonight? Since you worked a split shift today.” He looks away as if in thought, and I listen closely to his heartbeat just in case he lies to me. “There was this one girl that just moved into the house down the street from the nature park that was once owned by that one dude that your dad use to talk about when we were kids. I just can’t remember his name.” I try to think of the house that he is talking about, but the only one that comes to mind is that one. “Is it the one where the cleaners are always coming in and out of every few times a year?” He looks up from his pizza and nods, “Yep that’s the one.” After watching an hour of the game plays of the opponent’s games; I can’t seem to focus on them, my mind keeps drifting to the girl that just moved into that house Julian was talking about. The house that was once owned by my dad’s old friend, so I pause the game at someplace in the third quarter where our next weekend opponents scored their 9th or 10th point, look at Julian who is thoroughly confused and says, “Tell me about this girl you saw at the house, Now!” Now he is completely and utterly confused, I have never put a girl over soccer. I continue to stare at him to show him that I’m completely serious, and that he should start and soon. “Okay okay, you win, I'll tell you. She has wavy hair, some type of blonde hair that almost looks like a goldish color, it was in a ponytail, she has sky-blue eyes, and her skin is flawless with a few freckles, that I could see. But then again, I was there for only a minute, so can’t exactly describe her.” I close my eyes as he is describing her to me, imagine what she looks like, and she looks pretty; like unbelievably pretty, I can’t wait to see her for my own eyes. I restart the game video, but I still can’t seem to concentrate. Knight is keeps trying to talk to me while running around in my head talking about the girl that we just got done talking about, and that we should go stop by her house to welcome her to the town. I just tell him to shut up, to stop running around in my head, and that we can’t because we alpha duties to do tomorrow that he is always bugging me to do, and then I have soccer practice the next all day. So, I’m busy all weekend. Knight is not pleased with my reply at all, he tells me, ‘Why don’t we just skip our duties tomorrow, huh?’ I look at the screen and give the ‘huh’ look; Julian must have noticed, cause he gives the ‘what’ face to me, I just point to my head to show him that Knight is talking to me, and he just gives me a knowing look. Him and Bobby (his wolf) don’t get along too well, but well enough that they can coexist in the same body. I try to get back to the game, but Knight is still bugging me about the girl that we were talking about; so, I’m still unable to concentrate. For another hour he is trying to convince me to stop by her house, so I wasn’t able to focus on the game videos again. I pause the game video again and look at Julian while pointing to my head to show him that I’m still dealing with Knight. I walk towards the backdoor, so that I can talk freely to him without interruptions. Because I do better talking to him when I talk out loud, and every once and awhile I will talk to him in my head when I am in the company of humans. “What the hell is wrong with you?” I ask Knight very loudly when I get outside. He turns his body away from me. ‘I don’t know what you are talking about.’ He says as he seems to turn his wolf-like back to be in my head. “You know exactly what I’m talking about. With all your talk about me being a flack on my responsibilities, and then I tell you that we can’t see a certain girl because of those responsibilities you say to f*****g ditch them.” I can just see him turn himself back to face me then say, ‘I don’t know, but this feels different than your other five girlfriends that you have during the week. And thank the goddess that you don’t have any during the weekend or I would never have any time away from the human girls that you surround yourself with.’ He’s always had a problem with the girls that I dated; they were never good enough for him, but I guess the only one that would be good enough for him would be our mate. If our mate was our destined one, then why haven’t we meet her yet? Is what I keep wondering over and over. That’s why I became a player, to fill the void that was forming in my heart from not finding my mate. I don’t even know if Knight knows the reason why I suddenly became what I am now; he probably does since he is my other half. I don’t even know how Caleb Scott and Jerry (his wolf) did it for about 30 years without going completely nuts; I’ve got two months and I’ve just about lost my mind and my heart, so I had to substitute for what I was missing. The way that I did that was having five girlfriends at the same time, one for every weekday. They are all different in their own way, but all humans just in case my mate happens to be human, then I know how to handle her. I haven’t slept with any of them yet, I’m saving that for my mate, but I want to get a handle on the dating life before I find my mate.  I just hope she doesn’t think badly of me when I meet her whenever that is, that’s all that I can think about. I was yelling so loud that I woke up my little brother, Ricky, that is not that much younger than me. He comes outside to see what is going on, and to see who is yelling at who. When he just sees me out there, he gives me the normal weird look that he does when this type of situations happens, and they happen quite a few times. I look at him and say, “I guess, Julian didn’t fill you in on anything, did he?” He shakes his head, “No, Julian fell asleep; surprisingly enough with all the yelling that’s going on.” He looks at me with a frown, “What are you arguing about with Knight about this time?” My brother knows me so well, and I sigh, “He wants to go welcome a girl to the town, but I have training and soccer practice. So, I can’t go welcome her.” He just nods at me, “Ah, I never thought I would see the day that you would reason-ability over a girl.” I just fake laugh at his comment and wonder when my family has started to think of me like that.
