POV: Calla Harlow “Forceps,” I said, extending my hand to the waiting nurse. She handed it over to me, and I made use of it on the patient whose eyes were closed since she was asleep due to the anesthesia that had been injected into her before the surgery began. When I was done, I looked carefully at the ECG machine, and a smile embraced my face, seeing that the patient was now in a stable condition and that the surgery had been a successful one. “You can close her up, right?” I asked, staring at my assistant. He nodded his head in the affirmative. “It wouldn’t be my first time,” he said. “Good. The operation was successful, so I’ll leave now. Just finish the stitching process, and when you’re done, let her be taken to the Intensive care unit. She’ll be observed for twenty-four hours
