I was pacing around the lobby and was in a frenzied state. I could not keep myself from panicking, mostly because I had survived the accident unscathed, but that could not have been said about Mia. Her case was critical, and the first doctor who had first examined her had said that she was lucky to have even survived the accident in the first place.
While they had been carrying the three patients from the van that had collided with ours, I saw them avoid Mia on purpose because they did not want to waste time on a lost cause. If she had a high chance of dying before being operated on or during the operation, why would they then waste their time with her when they practically had other patients that needed their help and had a high percentage of surviving?
