POV: Calla Harlow
My mother had not been able to transform into her true wolf form because of the state of her mental health. It seemed impossible when I was much younger for a werewolf to remain in their human state, but now, I felt it was possible. Even after getting hurt in wolf form, one immediately changed back to being human. I guess you could say the same about hurting not physically, but mentally.
I had a theory, which was that the wolf transformation only happens to those of sound mind, body, and spirit. It was the only plausible explanation, except if my mother was somehow blocking it.
