The football game came to an end after the whistle was blown, and I stood up as a proud girlfriend to cheer on the team that had won, which was none other than Lakeville Tigers, Adan’s team and he was the star of today’s match. Everyone kept praising his skills and applauding him.
As his team was called to collect their trophy, he and the Coach led them and several rounds of applause began to take place again. He appeared really cheerful, and I was also excited for him, not just because he’ll finally stop choosing his practice over me, but because I had seen how much he worked and it was perfect that all his hard work had not been in vain.
