Helena’s phone vibrated in her coat pocket just as the door to her bedroom clicked shut behind her. She could still feel Mason’s scent clinging to her, the invasive touch of his hand on her waist, the repulsion coating her skin like a second layer. Her heart pounded against her ribs as she pulled out her phone and saw Leofrik’s name glowing on the screen.
