The Founder's Day festival vibrated with a tension I could practically taste. It was supposed to be a celebration of unity. Every year, both colleges would join together for a day filled with fun and athletic activities. I moved through the crowd. I don’t know how Kai managed to get me out of my dorm, but here I am. He was stuck close to my side. Even his gentle presence couldn't completely ease my anxiety.
