Alice Pov,
I wake up early in the morning with a sense of urgency. I can’t stay here any longer. I have to find a way out. My eyes scan the room quickly, taking in every detail. I need to find a weak spot, a loophole, anything that can help me escape. But as I stand up, I notice the door is locked from outside. I sigh heavily, knowing that escape won’t be easy.
I sit down on the edge of the bed and think about my options. I need to find a way to get the key to unlock the door. But where could it be? I start to pace around the room, examining every inch of it. Suddenly, I hear footsteps coming towards the door. My heart races with fear. I quickly sit down on the bed, pretending to be asleep.
The door creaks open and Gabriel walks in. He looks at me with a scowl on his face, his eyes filled with contempt. I try to remain calm, not wanting to show any weakness.
“Good morning, Alice,” he says with a sneer.
I don’t reply, hoping he’ll leave soon. But he doesn’t. Instead, he comes closer to me and grabs my arm roughly. I wince in pain.
“I hope you’re not thinking of escaping,” he says with a menacing tone. “Because if you do, you’ll regret it.”
I try to pull my arm away, but his grip tightens. “Let me go,” I plead.
He finally releases me and walks towards the door. “Behave yourself,” he warns, before leaving the room and locking the door behind him.
I sit on the bed, tears streaming down my face. I feel trapped, like a caged animal. But I won’t give up. I’ll keep trying until I find a way out.
Days go by, and I keep looking for a way to escape. I’ve tried to pick the lock, but it’s impossible. I’ve also tried to break the window, but it’s too high and too small. I feel hopeless and defeated.
One day, I notice that the guard at the door is distracted. He’s talking to one of his colleagues, laughing and joking. It’s my chance. I quickly get up from the bed and run towards the door, hoping to slip through it before he notices.
But I’m not fast enough. He sees me and grabs me by the arm. I struggle and try to break free, but he’s too strong. He drags me back to my room and throws me on the bed.
“You’re going to pay for this,” he says, his eyes full of anger.
I know I’m in trouble now. I brace myself for the worst. He starts to hit me, first with his fists, then with a belt. I scream in pain, begging him to stop, but he doesn’t.
Finally, he leaves the room, slamming the door behind him. I’m left alone, bruised and battered. I realize now that escape won’t be easy, and that I need to be more careful.
As I lie on the bed, I think about the words Gabriel said to me earlier. “If you do, you’ll regret it.” I wonder what he meant by that. Will he punish me even more? Will he kill me? I shudder at the thought.
But I won’t give up. I’ll find a way to escape, no matter what. Even if it means risking my life.
I groaned as the door creaked open, revealing Gabriel. He stepped into the room, his face twisted into a cruel sneer. “Well, well, well,” he drawled. “Looks like someone’s been a bad girl.” He sauntered over to me, cracking his knuckles menacingly.
I shrank back, my heart racing. “Please,” I begged. “I won’t try to escape again, I promise.”
Gabriel just chuckled. “Oh, I know you won’t,” he said. “I made sure of that.”
I frowned, confused. “What do you mean?”
He leaned in close to me, his hot breath tickling my ear. “I put a little something in your food,” he whispered. “A little something that will make sure you never want to leave us.”
My eyes widened in horror as I realized what he meant. He had drugged me, and now I was trapped here forever.
Gabriel stepped back, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. “Now, as for your punishment,” he said. “I think a good old-fashioned flogging will do the trick.”
I screamed as he dragged me from the room, my mind reeling with fear and despair.
I stumbled along beside Gabriel, my heart pounding in my chest. I knew what was coming, and I knew I couldn’t escape it. My only hope was that I could somehow endure the pain.
We arrived at a large open area in the center of the pack’s territory. A crowd had already gathered, eager to witness my punishment. Gabriel shoved me forward, and I fell to my knees in front of him.
“Get up,” he growled, pulling me to my feet. “Let’s get this over with.”
I tried to resist, but he was too strong. He tied my arms to a wooden post, leaving me helpless and exposed. Then he stepped back and motioned to one of his lackeys.
“Bring me the whip,” he said.
The man scurried off, returning a moment later with a long, braided whip. Gabriel took it from him, admiring its length and flexibility.
“This should do nicely,” he said with a smirk. “Now, let’s see how much pain you can take.”
With that, he swung the whip, and it cracked loudly against my back. I screamed in agony, my whole body writhing in pain. But Gabriel was relentless. He swung the whip again and again, each time drawing fresh blood.
I lost track of how many lashes I endured. It felt like an eternity, each moment stretching out into an endless sea of pain. But somehow, I managed to hold on. I clung to the thought that one day, I might escape this place and be free again.
Finally, Gabriel stepped back, satisfied with his handiwork. I hung limply from the post, my back raw and bleeding.
“Now, let that be a lesson to you,” he said, turning to leave. “And remember, any more attempts to escape will result in an even worse punishment.”
I watched him go, tears streaming down my face. I had never felt so helpless and alone in my life. But even in that moment of despair, a tiny spark of hope flickered inside me. Maybe, just maybe, there was a way out of this nightmare.
