Jonathan rose several hours before day break and started packing up camp. It was time to leave Murder Creek and get back to the ranch. Jonathan’s instincts were telling him that he wouldn’t be able to find their hideout by asking around alone. Jonathan couldn’t waste anymore time and leave the ranch more vulnerable. Especially with his sons nearby, Jonathan could only head back to the ranch and regroup.
Jonathan shook Buzz awake and saddled the horses. They needed to ride hard back to the ranch.
