The next morning, long before the sun broke upon the land Jonathan as well as Buzz loaded up and headed up toward Murder Creek. The town was over thirty miles away, if they were lucky then they would be able to make it to the halfway point by nightfall. If they were unlucky, then them they would be camping out on the trail totally exposed. Jon left Rebel at home and took one of the geldings. They set a hard pace and didn’t let up or stop for the nooning meals, only for watering the horses. The hard pace paid off and they made it into town about an hour after the sun set, Jonathan almost made camp when the sun started to set, but something made him push that last mile. Then over that hill revealed the town. The two quickly made camp on the outskirts of town after taking care of the horses,
