Healthy and Adored
Queen Amber was loved by everyone. Everyone loved her daughters. Everyone loved them but one person. James. James was Amber's best friend before her daughters were born. Until one night, they had a huge fight when he was caught by a guard k********g one of her daughters. They were twins. Clementine and Autumn. They were the only twins in the whole kingdom. They had Hazel colored hair with highlights you could see from the sun. Their skin was soft and smooth like a cloud wrapped in blankets. Their lips were rosy pink like their mothers, and their eyes were aquatic blue. Some people said they were gifts from heaven sent from angels as a message that the queen was to be respected. Others had hatred. The queen hired a nanny to watch over them when they were little so that they could still have fun even without their mother. Amber would tell fantasy stories to them at night so that they could dream about it and one day tell their children. As they got older, their mother soon passed away from a rare disease. They eventually turned 17 and knew that on their 18th birthday, they would have to choose which one of them wanted to become the new queen. Neither of them wanted to take responsibility for the whole kingdom, so they put aside the thought. It was a Thursday morning around 7am, and Autumn woke up. "Emmy?" Emmy was short for Clementine. They gave each other nicknames. Autumn's nickname was May, which her mother would laugh about. She looked around for her sister and unwrapped the covers off herself. Her feet were cold, so she slipped on her soft pink slippers. She wore a baby pink night gown with lace that was trimmed at the bottom. She looked in the mirror and saw her cheeks were pink and her face was pale. The room was colder than she had left it the night before. She looked out the window and saw Clementine on a bench sketching the water. Autumn brushed her hair and got dressed. She wore a jean skirt, adding a pink soft belt to accessorize, a long sleeve striped shirt, and a pink headband gifted from her mother years ago. She added some chapstick and headed to the kitchen. "Good morning, Ms. Boston." "Mornin sugar," replied Ms. Boston. Ms. Boston had prepared a delicious breakfast, Fruit Loops. Just because they were rich didn't mean they hired a chef. After Autumn finished her cereal, she went outside to check on Clementine. She opened the door to go outside, and it was warm but with a cool enough breeze. Clementine was still staring at the water and moving her pencil gently across her sketchpad. "What are you drawing?" "The water." "...Why?" Clementine looked over at Autumn and rolled her eyes and sighed. "Okay...do you wanna go somewhere? Maybe the f*******n lake!? "Fine but only to stop you from being annoying." They walked to the barn and got their horses. Autumn's horse was dark brown. Clementine's was gray with light gray spots. They guided the horses to the lake and stopped once they finally saw it. "Why is this place f*******n again?" asked Clementine. "I don't know. People say there are dangerous creatures." "Yeah, right. Wait, what is that?" A bright green large animal with yellow patterns and volcanic red Eyes appeared tall, leaning over the trees that stood before them, feasting on a pile of dead deer. They looked at each other, exchanging glances with goosebumps forming on their arms. "Emmy..." said Autumn with fear shaking in her voice. "Yeah, I know. Don't panic, or else it might see us. " "I'm already panicking!" Autumn whispered loudly. They held each other's hands, stepping backward when Clementine set her foot on Autumn's. "OW WHAT THE HECK!!. Oh sh-" The creature slowly lifted its head and met eyes with the sisters. It then gave a terrifying, chilling roar that shook the ground and blew the trees sideways. The girls looked at it in terror and then ran.
