"Why does it always rain when I don't have an umbrella?" I slammed the door shut after entering my house. I immediately went straight to the living room to check myself in the mirror
"Is it raining outside?" I was stunned when someone suddenly spoke behind me. And why is she here again?
"Isn't it obvious?" mataray na sagot ko sa kaniya bago muling binalik ang paningin ko sa salamin. "Gosh! The rain ruined everything! I even bought my dress from Hawaii and had a new hairstyle!"
I started to wipe my hair but thinking how the rain ruined everything annoys me. "Can't you give me the power to stop the rain? Or to control the weather?" I asked her
"Is that your wish?" she asked quickly. "I'm asking if that is your wish," she repeated
I rolled my eyes because of her answer. "Nevermind. You always ask for compensation whenever I ask you for something." I sniffed and reached for the towel again to wipe my hair when I suddenly remember something
"What are you doing here again? How did you come inside? Did you used your power?! You're so unbelievable," sunod-sunod na sabi ko sa kaniya. "Deity really have the power to do everything." I added in a whisper
As much as I want to stay here, I can't because I still have to do something. "Can't you really just stop the rain? I am lazy to work when it rains"
"Go. Leave," walang pag-aalinlangang sabi niya. "And stop buying worthless things. I didn't give you the company just for your luxuries," she seriously said. I literally rolled my eyes because of that
"I didn't ask you to give me a company. It's not worthless things, this is my reward. That one company that you gave me becomes several and that is because of me!" I fired back. She then just look at me like she doesn't care at all
"Can't you talk without shouting?" she raised a brow at me
"Can't you just shut up?" I mocked her. She glared at me that's why I gave her a sarcastic smile before finally turning my back to her. "I'm going." paalam ko sa kaniya. She nodded at me as she continued to eat. When I came out of the house I smiled when I saw that the rain had stopped. She really can't say no to me, huh? Well, Alessia powers
I was quietly walking down the road while continuing to fix my hair. I tried to position it in front and behind my ears. Well, bahala na nga. I'm sure I'm still beautiful. When I reached the stoplight, I stopped fixing my hair and immediately surveyed the whole area. I sighed heavily before suddenly walking closer to the boy who was now crossing the road
I quickly grabbed his hand and pulled it before he was even hit by the truck. I saw how shocked he was as well as other people who saw what happened. "Hey, kid, when it's red, you need to stop walking and wait until it turns green before crossing the street. Didn't your teacher teach you that?" I raised an eyebrow at the child, still doesn't seem to recover from being a shock. I let go of his hand before sighing
"Nako po, maraming salamat!" a woman approached us and checked to see if the child was okay
"He's fine. If you're going out with your child, please keep an eye on him. Don't do something especially when you're crossing the road. Your son almost hit by a truck, thanks to me," I told her without even hesitating. As a mother, she should be more extra careful when her child is with her
She smiled at me and slightly bowed her head while repeatedly saying thank you. I just nodded at her and didn't even smile back. I started to walk to cross the road as I grab the alcohol in my pocket to wash my hand.
"Why? Does the child has a virus?" she asks me as I crossed the road. I just sighed and ignored her. "What kind of virus?" she asks as she follows me.
"It's called none of your business virus," I answered her firmly before putting back the alcohol inside my pocket. "Stop following me," I warned her. I put my two hands in the pocket of my dress before I carelessly just continued walking.
When I saw the man running, I effortlessly grabbed the hem of his jacket before pulling him closer to me. "Surprise! I just saved your life," I said in a monotone voice
"Ano bang problema mo?" he pulled himself away from me before glaring at me badly. I whistled because of what he said
"You should be thanking me instead of asking what my problem is," I sarcastically laugh. "You almost hit that old woman's goods. If I didn't stop you, you should be saying sorry to her now and you..." I stared him sharply in the eye, "you'll regret it for the rest of your life"
"Ano? Baliw ka ba?!"
I laughed again because of his answer, "No. I'm sane. Let's just say that I kinda helped you. Why? Do you want me to return the time? I'm sure you'll have to settle it with money. Do you have money?"
He still looks pissed as he looks at me, "Bakit hindi ka nalang maghanap ng pwedeng pagkakaabalahan mo. Nangigialam ka pa," he whispers as he turned his back on me
"Of course, I want to mind my own business. And you're one of them," I talked to myself while still looking at him. I sighed again and started to walk closer to the old woman. "You sold too much for today. Babayaran ko na po ang iba ang hindi niyo pa nabebenta," I told her her before taking a money out of my wallet
"Maraming salamat, hija. Tutulungan na kita sa pag---"
"No. I won't need it either. Just leave it here and go home," I said but she looks like she didn't understand what I just said. "Umuwi na po kayo. Gamitin niyo po ang perang binigay ko para sa mga apo mo" she nodded at me and repeatedly said thank you before finally leaving
I lazily took the alcohol from my pocket and put some in my hand. It has become my routine to wash my hands whenever I help someone. Apart from the fact that it is against my will to do so, it is not also in my vocabulary. Helping other people? That's funny
"This is too much for today. I need to do something with my mood," I said to myself before starting walking again
"Is it hard?" I was not surprised when he suddenly appeared next to me again. This deity deserves to get a punch from me. "What's hard? Helping other people or talking to them in their language? I told you to start talking Tagalog since you're in the Philippines"
"You know what's making me hard? Having you around me," I answered her as I enter the mall. I heard her laugh but I didn't even bother to look back at her
"Come on, I'm always around you for almost half of your life"
I stopped walking and faced her, "That's the problem. Can't you just leave me alone? Let me enjoy the rest of my life without having you around me. Don't show yourself in front of me until I die"
"As if you'll die," she said while laughing, trying to tease me and I can say that she won. If only I can do anything to kill myself, I should've done that a long time ago. I still have to wait for that damn punishment before I can finally free from this damn life I am facing right now
"Do you want to go to another country?" she suddenly asked, still following me
I laughed because of her question, "As if I can go to another country without having you around me," I told her. The Philippines is not a bad country, after all. I like it here. I can speak their language if I want to. I just feel like I'm making their language suck if I used them
When I entered my favorite store, I looked at her again, "Can you let me go shopping without having you around? It sucks seeing you here." I told her but, she just pouted at the saleslady who's trying to approach me. "I'll get all the latest bags for this month. Make sure to pick the color which has not been purchased by others." I told her. She nodded before walking away
"You're spending too much from your money. You and your luxuries." she looks so disappointed with me for no apparent reason
"Why? Are you jealous? Go pick everything you want. I'll pay," I told her while waiting for the bags
"Look at you simply flexing all your money. You can't even visit your company and hotels. All you care is money," she commented as she continues shooking her head
"They can work without me. I have the best staff's you know," I answered before standing up to pay for the bills. I gave the girl my black card and check for the bags.
"Are you sure I am the only one who has them?" I asked the girl. I'm just making sure. I don't like the idea of having the same thing as others. I want mine to be unique as always
"Yes, Ma'am. These are all limited edition bags and no one will get a chance to buy the bag same as yours," the girl smiled sweetly at me so I just nodded
"Deliver all of them at my address," I said while writing down my address. "I'd also appreciate it if you deliver it without crumpling the paper bags"
"We'll deliver it right away, Ma'am. Thank you for buying. Have a nice day"
I didn't bother to answer or smiled at her. I just left when I got the card
"Don't tell me you're going to follow me until I eat? Why? Are you hungry? Are you a deity? For real? You always stick around me like a fly"
I just walk straight to my favorite restaurant. I heard they have a branch here. It's one of the famous restaurants here and since they're serving pasta that I love the most, I always go here to eat
"Heace Restaurant again," I heard her whisper
"Why? If you don't want then leave." I told her before entering. This is my first time going here and since it's inside the mall, the space is not that wide unlike their other brunches
"Good morning, Ma'am. Table for one?" a crew approached me immediately
"For two," I told her before sitting down, "I'd like to order Four-Cheese Mac and Cheese and orange juice"
"Anything else, Ma'am?" I shook my head.
"Can you leave me alone once we're done eating?" I asked her but she didn't respond. Instead, she just crosses her arms on her chest as she waits for our order. "You'll pay for your food, okay?"
"Do you want me to bring down your company?" she threatened me
"Go. Do it," sinamaan ko siya tingin bago nilipat ang paningin doon sa kadarating lang na lalaki. He's wearing black polo and black slacks. He was smiling as he greeted the crew one by one before going inside. "What an annoying smile," I commented before averting my eyes. Is he the owner?
"Why? Does he caught you by your smile?"
"Shut up and don't talk to me," binilisan ko na ang pagkain ng dumating an order ko. I am planning to go shopping again after this. "I'm just going to the restroom. I hope when I come back you're no longer here"
I just wash my hands and fix my face and my hair until I get satisfied. When I came out, my brows frowned when I saw the guy earlier talking to that woman. I just rolled my eyes before continue walking while I was trying to find my phone inside my bag
I just stopped walking when I bumped into someone which made me dropped my bag
"Sorry!" he exclaimed while picking up my bag. I accepted it and frowned when I saw what his reaction
"What?" I asked him.
"A-are you okay?"
"Of course! Do I look like I'm not?" I answered
"Let me get our first aid kit," he said seriously
"What? Are you kidding me? First aid kit for bumping you?" I asked him with a laugh
"What are you saying? You're full of scars. Are you sure you're, okay?"
"What?" I looked at him confused again. What the hell is he saying?
"Come on, you're full of wounds and scars. Are you numb?"
I was stunned because of what he said. I look at the sit in front of us and she was no longer there. "You... you can see my scars?
