She nodded and adjusted herself at the door. It was just her first day working in the VIP lounge, it was expected for her to experience things she hadn't witnessed.
"You can do this, Emily. It's just a drink. Don't go beyond one glass" she advised herself as she walked up to Jason who appeared nonchalant about the entire situation.
"Deal" she broke out, standing confidently for him.
Jason scoffed after using his eyes to examine her. "You don't have the right to sound so confident when you need this money more than the beggars outside"
She exhaled and pinched herself a few times to suppress her anger.
He chuckled and poured her a drink into the glass. "It's 10,000 dollars we're talking about here, Miss. I'm not sure they pay you that much around here, so go on your knees and take this drink from me"
Emily raised her head in disbelief. Go on her knees?! She looked around, hoping anyone or even Kristine was watching her from a distance but everyone seemed to be very busy.
She turned angrily to him and made her points clear. "I will not allow you to disrespect me with this. I have my ego!"
"Hey" Jason called out to a waiter who was holding a pan. "Is that Camille?"
The Waiter nodded softly.
"Bring it here" he ordered. Jason smiled scornfully as he turned to Emily. "Here, use your ego and pay for it. This costs 35,000 dollars"
35 thousand what! For just a drink?! Emily exclaimed in her thoughts.
Jason seemed to be enjoying the moments as he watched the expression on her face. "I thought as much, now, go on your knees"
She couldn't afford to offend her boss and lose her job, at least not yet. With that, Emily humbly obliged.
"I like that you're arrogant and stubborn. You make it easy for me to have fun. Your fellow colleagues always humbly oblige and that bores me"
Emily ignored and slurped down the liquor on the table. She grabbed the dollar notes and was about to take her leave when Jason grabbed her hands.
"Not so soon, darling" he whispered in an annoying seductive tone. "Have a seat and relax for a while. No one pays you 100k dollars for you to exhaust it in seconds. Sit"
Emily seemed tired of him already. She sighed and sat on the sofa chair next to him. Rolling her eyes around the room, she noticed almost every female bar attendant was doing the same -- sitting on chairs next to the male customers.
What was going on? Were tasks different in the VIP lounge? Emily had so many unending questions that needed answers but just as she was trying to solve the puzzle, she realized she was suddenly feeling dizzy and the entire room began to spin around her.
What have you done, Emily? Have you forgotten you can't even hold your liquor? How dare you take that?! She scolded herself in her thoughts but the noises became distant, so did her body feel.
Jason who has been watching her all along smiled and arranged her hair gently. "I know your kind; arrogant and proud but can't hold on to such personality to the end. Now, let's go" he requested and dragged her along with him.
Her best friend had missed telling Emily the importance of the story. No male customer willingly pays a bar attendant to have a drink with them. Agreeing to have a drink with them indirectly meant saying Yes to spending the night with them and Emily was the only staff who was unaware.
Arriving at his room, Jason threw Emily on his bed and took the persistent call that wouldn't stop ringing.
"Yeah? Sure, I understand. I will be there by morning" with that he hung up and threw his phone on his lamp stand before joining Emily on the bed.
********
"Kristine, why is the alarm not ringing yet? Am I not running late? I'm supposed to be at the hospital today" Emily muttered with her eyes closed, obviously lost in deep sleep.
"Are you also asleep? You're supposed to be at the coffee shop this morning, remember?" She continued, stretching forth her hand to feel Kristine. She felt someone and let out a relieving sigh.
"You're still in bed. Besides, doesn't our bed feel comfortable today? Or could it be because I was tired? Jeez! Working in the VIP lounge is more stressful than I thought "Suddenly, a thought struck her and Emily paused, her eyes still closed but her tone was more precise. "How did I get home last night? Hmm? Say something" she probed, shaking the body beside her.
Emily sighed and opened her eyes. She watched a male body lay beside her but her brain couldn't process what was truly happening until three seconds later before she let out a scream that woke Jason up.
"You!" She shouted, j*********f the bed. "How dare you lay your hands on me?" She continued to yell, grabbing the blanket to cover her body, forgetting she was still wearing her uniform.
She stormed towards him and held his shirt, looking at him sternly. "How dare you lay your filthy hands on me, huh?" She questioned before giving him a slap.
"How dare you?" Jason screamed back, pushing her away.
She grabbed the flower vase behind her and threw it to the floor. She grabbed the pillows and threw them as well. "I swear I will make you pay for this. You won't go scot free for touching me. I do not care about your position, I wouldn't mind doing anything until I see you go down"
While Emily was still throwing a fuss, Jason contacted the emergency number. A few securities and her boss appeared in the room.
"Emily!" Her boss shouted, surprised by how messy the room looked. Worst of all, Emily who was also caught holding a mirror, about to throw it to the floor. "How dare you?!”
