ELISA’S POV I kept my head down and my hands busy. My fingers stung from peeling potatoes too fast, but I didn’t slow down. We were supposed to be making breakfast, for goodness’ sake, what were they doing with potatoes? I was pretty sure Madam Doris was doing this on purpose just to punish me even further. She was making me peel this many potatoes all at once when she knew very well that they weren’t even supposed to be of any use to anyone this morning. Maybe not even the whole of today.
