At 9pm I head up to my room and turn in, I had good dreams filled with smiles and laughter. This was my life now, school, helping out on the ranch, dinner then bed but as the first full moon was getting closer I begun to get nervous about Gwen. I went for a drive after school until I found a cabin out in the woods that I would be able to hide out in, but the morning of the first full moon Gwen woke me up and asked me to quickly get dressed so I did then she drove us out to woods. “Gwen? What’s going on? Why the hell are we here at 6am?” I asked her. “Because I know what tonight is for you, do you remember the morning we got back after we were in the city? Well it was from your father via Henry. I know what happened to you Selena, I will help you.” She pulled out her phone and played the video of me changing into a wolf. “Should have known there were cameras, you’re not scared?” I asked hopefully, her face held nothing but love and kindness. “No I'm not scared of you Selena, I think it’s amazing and it definitely explains your room. One day if you ever ready I would love to hear how it happened.” “I'm going to need coffee and pancakes for that story, you can’t unknow once it’s said out loud.” She drove us into town and got it all then we went for a walk and talked about everything. I told her about Elijah, Abel, Jericho and Louise, her death still haunted me and I was so mad that I couldn’t save her. Gwen sat with me that night up in the barn as I changed into a wolf, we laid our head in her lap and slept as she stroked our fur. “Slept my lovely, no one will harm you.” Her strength shone thru her words and we cried happy tears. In the morning when I changed back I could see the love in her eyes and it made me brake down, I was home like truly home like I had never been before. “Come your going to need one hell of a breakfast and a warm shower.” “Actually I never really get cold but yeah a shower would be great. Thank you Gwen, you have no idea what this really means to me. I thought my only pillar was Dad but I was wrong, you are too and I'm so glad I'm here Aunt Gwen. I love you.” Then I ran inside and up to the shower, at least it was the weekend so I could just stay inside and relax before my next turn, I filled her in on my feeding habits and how we could hide it. That night I ran around the ranch committing it to memory so we knew our safe hunting grounds, at first was just eating the hundreds of rabbits but slowly over time I started to eat the other pest that came onto the property. Since being with Gwen I could control my changes a lot more and some moons I was actually able to stay me 8 months in a newspaper article brought our walls up and put us on high alert.
