“This changes nothing for me, you two are the best damn workers I've ever had, why don’t you take the stone cottage? Its closer and I know it would make Selena happy to have you both close by.” They agreed to move in as they were paying a lot in town for their small 2 bedroom, now we could all be ourselves and not hold back with our work. They taught me all about being a wolf and I taught them how to hold off the change on a full moon which they were extremely grateful for. Somehow the 4 of us became a pack, a true and real family that could never be broken apart, we decided that we wouldn’t eat any meat from town while Jenna was around in case she laced it. As the full moon came around we bunkered down and remained as normal as we could, the first night we all stayed together and stayed human at which they were amazed that it really was possible. The second night we were in the barn eating a cow that was meant to be put down. The third would be my undoing, I was in my room getting ready when I heard the first gunshot maybe 3 miles away. “Gwen!” I scream out, I race downstairs. “Where are the guys?” she looked as white as a ghost. “They haven’t come in yet, they are still up the back.” I race outside and jump on one of the utes; I take off to the back paddock where I find Alberto carrying Jr as he was shot in the leg. “Selena! You shouldn’t have come out! Hunters!” I load them into the car. “Go back to Gwen's, keep her safe!” I hiss. “Selena, I won’t leave you.” My eyes turn red as I let the change take me. “Go now, jr needs her and she needs you.” My wolf thought inside his head, I let the wolf take over. She tracked the smell up the hill to Jenna’s car which was parked, I know it was childish but we slashed her tyres. “Another mutt.” I hear from behind me, I turn around slowly and come face to face with Jenna and her gun. “I remember you, I've shot you before.” She laughs, I don’t move I know that where traps somewhere close by and all she was doing was baiting me. I retraced my steps backwards before giving her a lopsided grin and racing off, I lead her into the next county to an abandoned house. As the sun was rising I made my way over to the car Gwen and I decided to leave in case something like this ever happened. I pulled out the mobile and texted her. “In Shelby, meet you at the diner.” I got dressed at then started the 80 minute drive back home, I know she didn’t see me change otherwise she would have tried to kill me instantly. I get to the diner and walk in. “Morning Selena, normal?” Bella asks with a smile, I nod and smile back at her. “Yeah Gwen's got me up hell early again! I see its nice and quiet this morning, very strange.” I notice looking around, she looks sad, “Mum left a few days ago, dad is taking it really bad.” She looks towards the stairs. “I’ll go up and see him, offer him a bake off.” I smile, she hugs me. I walk up the stairs and straight into the apartment without even knocking, I go and put the coffee maker on the go into his room and walk him up. “HEY! HEY GET UP! I WANT PANCAKES!” I say loudly. “Go away.” He mumbles. “I WANT PANCAKES! IF YOU DON’T COME DOWN RIGHT NOW, I’LL COOK ALL DAY. EVERYONE WILL SAY MY COOKING IS BETTER AND YOU WILL HAVE BEEN BEATEN BY A TEENAGE SPOILED RICH CITY GIRL!” I say even louder than before, he groans and rolls over. “I hate you! I mean it, you’re an evil cow!” He sits up and rubs his eyes.
