Chapter 3“Coming through.”
Craig Brower balanced the heavy tray above his head with experienced ease as he yelled his way through the kitchen’s busy clatter. He didn’t know why there was a crowd in front of the prep station doing anything and everything but filling their orders, but with a table of nine demanding businessmen waiting on their appetizers he didn’t much care.
“Did you see him? Did you see him?”
Craig stopped in his tracks, the contents of his tray sliding dangerously close to the edge as a tall blonde jumped in front of him. “Watch out, Amy.”
The plates listed to the other side as she grabbed hold of the apron strings tied across his belly, and he scrambled to regain his balance. Best friends since high school, Craig had experience dealing with Amy’s excitable nature. Eve
