DON'T GET CAUGHT EPISODE TWENTY FOUR

Don't move candy, I shouted as she attempted to lift her leg. How could she not be careful when walking around yet I had told her of the landmines.

Boss: this was a wrong idea, we haven't even caught anyone snooping around.

Me: I know, but we are safe with them around. Some people don't just use their so big eyes.

I said referring to candy. I was mad.

Candy: wow.

Me: I'm never going to know where they took her.

Candy: maybe it's a good thing. It could have been a trap laid for you. So how are you going to get my leg off this thing?

I didn't respond to her but looked around and found a big stone as the boss brought his machete. The thing is, we needed to slide Candy's foot off the bomb and replace it with a stone. The idea was to keep that thing pressed and yeah, it was dangerous because one wrong move and we would be dead.

Boss: so candy, I'm going to slide the machete under your foot slowly and one I get it right, you will lift your leg then beast can put the stone as I remove the machete. The stone will keep the springs down you got it?

Candy: yes sir.

Boss: Beast you are ready.

Me: yes.

The boss did as he had said and Candy took her leg off the bomb and I placed the stone on the machete and pressed it as the boss pulled off his machete.

Boss: awesome.

Me: I've got to go.

Candy: where are you going?

Me: to find Emily.

She gave me this look I wasn't sure of and walked inside expecting me to follow her in and I didn't, I instead got in the car and drove off.

While in the car I played another recoding transmitted from Emily's home right before they dragged her out..

Voice: you are coming with us.

Emily: no. Let me go..

Voice: Dondi wants to see you. You think you are really smart?..

Emily: I didn't do anything..

Voice: there is a signal coming from your house. It is like someone has been listening to all our plans and he thinks you are talking to the wrong people.

Emily: what wrong people, let me go..

There were struggles and screams then the noise died down.

My problem was where to find this Dondi guy now that I had lost them.atrending to Candy's bomb issue and now I had no more moves let. Where had they taken her?

As I was still debating on my mind whether or not to to go back because I was a few minutes from home, I got a call from an unknown number and when I picked it, it was some guy. He didn't tell me his name but he wanted to meet up that very first night.

Me: you know who I am right?

Him: Beast...yes I know who you are.

Me: and you know I walk with guns too right?

Him: yes I know that as well.

Me: good,let's meet up in ten minutes at the junction opposite the BP petrol station.

Him: okay.

I hanged up but still I wasn't sure about the caller but I was ready for him. Normally, such calls can lead to death because first it's dark and second, you don't know the caller and third, there could be a crew on the other side waiting for you to show up and in the back of my mind, I was thinking that maybe, just maybe those could be the guys who shot at us at the cemetery but if they were, then if I captured just one of them, they would lead me to Finch who by now, I was very positive that was alive only that I had not told my boss because I didn't want to get ahead of myself.

I drove to the junction and got there in like 5 minutes.the place wasn't far off and bring the first to get there, I jumped out of the car and took cover behind some pillar at the petrol station and put my phone on vibration with my gun in hand ready for action.a few minutes later, I saw a white car drive in then shortly after a call came through my phone it was him.

Me: hey..

Him: hey...I'm here at the petrol station.

Me: okay, I'm coming.

I said that to make him think I had not gotten there so that I could see if he had some shady plans but after watching for a few minutes, I walked out of my hiding place and walked up to him, opened the door and let myself in his car with my gun in his hand.

Me: drive..

He started the car,stepped on the gass and we left.

Me: what's your name?

Him: Loketo

I smiled because that was a weird name.

Me: stop the car

He did I just wanted to get him off the petrol station incase he had secret arrangements to attack me, that's called survival instincts.

This guy looked a little bit more calm than I thought he would be and I loved the fact that he thought he was safe with me.

Me: who are you and what do you want with me?

Loketo: I'm Loketo, my cousin worked you a while back. He died..you shot him together with his friends.

Me: and you are stupid enough to call me for a meet up, what makes you think you are walking out of here alive?

Loketo: I have what will interest you. I'm not here to fight or set you up if that's what you think.

Me: whats in it for you, what angle are you working?..

Loketo: I want my freedom.

Me: freedom from who?

Loketo: Dondi.

There was a bit of silence. This i***t was smart, anyone mentioning the name Dondi was an automatic enemy and there was not way he could reach out to me without a catch. Dondi wanted my head,he wanted me in exchange of Emily's kid. What if this loketo guy was part of the deal?

Me: unbutton your shirt.

Loketo: what?

Me: unbuttoned that damn shirt,are you wearing a wire?

I asked holding the gun to his head.

Loketo: I'm not wearing any wire damn it.

Me: get off your shirt!

He unbuttoned and I checked him to make sure he was not wearing any wire. He was clean and now we could talk.

Loketo told me of how he got recruited into the Fujo brotherhood and his main aim for joining was to revenge against me but he didn't because the warehouse got burnt down and I was nowhere to be seen.

I leaned back and relaxed. He wasn't a threat and even if he was, not to me. If he tried anything stupid I would bury bullets in his chest.

Me: so, who was your cousin because I'm sure I killed him for being a traitor or for playing us and stealing from us.

Loketo: you shot him in some house.

Me: so he is one of the idiots who sold Finch out?

Loketo: it wasn't just that, everything that happened that night had more to it than you know.

Me: enlighten me.

Loketo: I will tell you everything you need to know but we need to save her...

He showed me a photo of Emily and her kid.

Me: what do you know about her?.

Loketo: she is a victim of circumstances. They think she knows where Finch is and they want her to be involved in done kind of trade.

Me: the one where she hands me over and get her kid back?

Loketo: not just her kid but Finch or his body, I don't know.

Me: what do you mean by Finch or his body, Finch is alive?

He didn't answer that.

Me: answer the damn question,is Finch alive?

Loketo: he was when I and some other guy called stitch pulled him out of the grave like thirty minutes after you buried him.

That came in as a shock. Loketo had just confirmed my doubts and Candy was right too.

Me: Emily, what does she have to do with all this, why are they holding her son hostage?

Loketo: Emily and Finch had an affair when she was still with Dondi and he found out. Dondi planned to kill finch so he started the fire at the warehouse. We were on the ground and we knew everything that was going to go down. My cousin told me Finch was a good guy and how he had stepped up, given them bonuses and improved their living conditions in the warehouse. They hated you but they loved Finch and when I heard rumors of Dondi wanting to set the warehouse on fire and kill both you and Finch so stitch and I decided to save him.

Me: wait a minute, you said you didn't join the Fujo brothers until I killed your cousin?

Loketo: yeah but I was a recruit and we were still being put to text. I was on the ground when Finch got shot.

Me: what are you saying? Finch got shot, you saved Finch...man, can you set s**t straight, I don't have all night to go round in circles.. this story is already giving me a headache. Tell me something....is Finch alive?

Elsewhere......

Emily was taken to Dondi and was dumped on the floor of his living room. Dondi was in a Rob and he had a gun in his hand and Emily was scared.

He got down to her level and grabbed her chin and pushed it up so that she could meet his gaze.

Dondi: Emily...

She didn't respond but maintained the eyes contact.

Dondi: you are still playing me right?

She shook her head in fear of the gun in his hand.

Dondi: two things are bothering me... One, there is a signal being transmitted from your house to the neighboring house. My IT guy traced that and now I'm wondering if you have been telling that guy you claim to be beast everything we have been taking about.

Emily: and what have we been taking about if not threats every now and then?

She got a hot soap that her face turned to the other side then she slowly turned and looked at him holding her cheeks.

Dondi: I'm still in charge. Number two. You got a call from an unidentified number. We heard him threatening you too. Who is he?

Emily: I don't know.

Dondi: you don't know.... You don't know?.

.

He said grabbing her arms and pulling her up. He slapped her and she landed on the couch then he walked up to her.

Dondi: are you going to tell me the truth or not, I can do this the whole f*****g night..

Emily: I don't know him I swear. You have my baby, don't you... He kept taking about giving me back my child and can't you see that's a lie... That's someone that just wants to set me up. You have my baby how can he claim to have him..I don't know what's going on I promise.

Dondi: you see, that's they problem. The kid is missing. He got kidn*pped earlier today when he was playing with friends outside. The guy had ski mask and we don't know where he took her.

Emily: what?

She asked turning to look at him shocked of the news.

Emily: what did you say,..... My baby is missing... My baby is missing!...

She got up and started beating him on the chest and he grabbed him and looked her in the face and before he could say anything, the door opened and one of his guys walked in. It was the IT guy master P

Master p: boss, there is something you should see..

He looked at Emily then walked to the phone and called the gate..

Dondi: is everyone on standby?

Koffi: yes sir..I'm on standby

Ringo: on standby

Dondi: has anyone seen Loketo?

Both: no.

Dondi: I have Emily in the house, if she sets foot outside, shoot her dead.

He walked out with master p leaving her inside the house.

Dondi: what's going on?

Master p: you told me to keep tabs on Loketo.

Dondi: yes, what has he been upto?

Master p had set in a camera in Loketo's car and they could see both him and Beast as they talked in the car.

Dondi: who the hell is that?

Master p: Beast.

Dondi: you are kidding me.

Master p: that's not the issue, you should listen to the conversation. Loketo didn't kill Finch as you had ordered. Him and stitch saved him and now I'm thinking stich kidn*pped Emily's kid and took him to Finch.

Dondi sat there and listened to the conversation.

Dondi: so the guys at the cemetery didn't burry Finch's body like they claimed when they gave us the coffin?.

Master p: there was nothing to bury because Finch was not there.

Dondi: this is a joke... Where is this?

Master p: I can't tell. There is nothing that shows where they are but they are planning to come save Emily. He knows the truth about you and Emily being a thing.

Dondi: set up the guys. When they get here, kill them both... I want to see those bodies...

He walked out and went to meet with the boys.

Me: I want all details of how you saved Finch, how he faked his death, where he is, everything. I will save Emily...you know where she is?.

Loketo: yeah, Dondi's house.

This sounded like a set up but then again it looked like there were some truth into it. I had to believe something because Finch was not in his grave and something must have gone down. If Loketo had the courage to come to me, he couldn't lie to me. So if Emily was truly Finch's girl and the kid she had was his, then I owed Finch that. I had to save Emily that night..

Me: take me back to me car. I'm more safer in it.

He nodded then turned his car around and took me to my car and I got out but before I got into my car I turned around and looked at him.

Me: for how long have you been following my trails?.

Loketo: long enough. I know you were in a hospital for some time. Finch needed us to check on you and give him feedback.

His response just confirmed that Finch was alive thought I could see the fear in his face.

Me: before I left the hospital, someone paid me a visit at the hospital and from the looks of things he wanted to kill me but he rushed out when the doctors checked in. Who was he?

Loketo: that was stitch and he wasn't there to kill you. I had sent him to save your life after Dondi sent me to come and suffocate you with a pillow. He was to come and inject you to sleep then get you out of there so that I could report back to Dondi that you were missing but he failed. Stitch is not your enemy but he had to look like he was..

I got into the car and he drove off as I followed his trails... I was going to save Emily, then I was going to find Finch....

Dondi: I want all corners covered. Beast is coming here and he is not walking out of here alive thanks to Loketo... Kill him too and as for Emily... We don't need her. Dig up a grave for her at the back there...
