It had almost been two weeks since we won the state championship, and it had finally started to sink in. My team and I had actually done it. I had wanted a state championship ever since I joined the varsity team my eighth grade year, and now I had one. Everyone on my team was excited about our state title, but no one was as excited as the rest of the seniors and me. Kevin, Steve, Jase, Jeff, Cal, and I were a special group. We had been playing together on JV and varsity since freshman year. We'd come so far as a team, and now all our hard work had paid off.
