Secrets and Lies

How do I tell my story without feeling some kind of way of sharing my secrets? The truth will set me free, they say, but it will destroy others' lives and maybe even mine... While processing my dilemma, let me start from the beginning.  I was around 5 years old when I started to remember what was happening around me. I was really cute, I had a cute little face, curly hair , and was skinny . My first memory is going to kindergarten class showing my little shorts and wearing white tights with white shoes showing my teacher. How sweet was I , don't you think ? So oblivious to this cruel world we call earth. I grew up kinda pore , remembering sharing a room with my two big brothers . There were 3 mattresses , yes 3 mattresses, in one. A room square room and the beds were set up like a u in the room I was at the bottom of the u each brother to the side of me the closet right in front of me and the door to the left side of the room a window to the right. My 3 little half brothers shared a room( never called them half brothers but it's relevant to the story). We all live in a little 3-bedroom home with my mom and stepdad. I was closer to my big brother, who is 3 years older than me. He always protected me, because of big brother love. I never felt like someone who could hurt me. But, oh I was so wrong, stepdad's mom came . When she visits us, she treated my older brothers and I badly , made us do crazy stuff around the house and verbally abuse us because we were not of her blood. Even though she treated her kids wrong, she treated us worse. Oh, that will include my stepdad. He hated my mom's kids and only cared for his kids. My mom never corrected him, my real dad was never in the picture,  so that left him to take the role of “DAD ''. What a joke ha ha. He never took the role unless it benefited him. This would cause serious consequences … well, for me.  Parents tell their children don’t talk to strangers, they will hurt you and kill you. I remember this one time walking to the school bus stop when my brother and I were running late. We ran. I was little and unable to keep up with my big brother . I just stood there crying my little eyes out in the middle of the sidewalk because I was tired and could not breathe. I just saw the bus drive away, my big brother in the back just looking at me through the window. I just stood there and cried out more, realizing my brother had left me. Then I saw a car pull up and a couple asked me what was wrong and asked me where I lived. I pointed and they took me home. Not understanding, I put myself in danger.
