Noah walks into the house, and she feels like slapping and kissing him at the same time. She’s jealous that he got to go to the office and didn’t have to deal with wedding stuff all day, but she just missed him so much today she feels her heart racing the moment she sees him.
They spend a while in the kitchen while he prepares dinner for them, and he catches her up on what is happening at the office. Then she tells him about her day and the ideas she got for the wedding.
“I thought I was never going to escape the lace!” She bursts out, and he laughs at her.
“It’s not funny!”
“No, you’re right, but you are beautiful.” Then his face turns dark, and she knows he has something to tell her that isn’t going to be good.
“I wish this was over, Alicia, but the detective called.”
