The big evening arrived and Tim knocked on Corrine’s door holding a plastic see-through box containing the loveliest corsage he could locate. He was decked out in a natty tux, his hair slicked down, and wore a red carnation in his lapel. Corrine answered the door herself and greeted her suitor, who believed for a moment he was seeing a dream come true. Her gown was an outfit of heavenly pink, matching beautifully with the accessories, and her hair was treated recently at the beauty parlor with curls cascading downward in gentle waves. She gently touched the offered container and smiled sweetly at him as she accepted the corsage with a coy thank you.
