Party, Mate and other Crazy stuffs

I made my way to the dining room where the party is being held, everyone will be here considering that I’m the beta's daughter and future beta's sister.

As I got closer to the room, all eyes are on me. I hate attention. I hate privileges. to be honest, sometimes I just want to be a normal person for a day. I wonder how it would feel to be treated normally by the people around me. to earn everyone's recognition not because I'm the beta's daughter but because I earned it.

but today is my day so I might as well enjoy it.

As I continue walking I feel tingles run into my body, I was greeted by some pack members then I smell the nicest smell I’ve ever smelled

"Find mate" Ella said

This soon? is that really my mate? is my mate really here? I can't focus anymore. I try to socialize with every wolf here but I can't help but get nervous. Ella has been shouting in my head nonstop "find mate"

I'm feeling nauseous as I finish greeting everybody. I'm trying not to mind that my mate is only a few meters, feet, or even steps away from me.

Or maybe all the mate talk is just getting on my head.

Yes, that's it.

Everybody was singing happy birthday as it was time for me to blow the candle

I awkwardly clap my hands as I try to get through the birthday song. Is this really necessary?

"Come on, Em! Follow the scent" Ella said

"Really? you want me to follow the scene while they're singing me happy birthday?" I snapped at Ella.

I understand that this could be stressful for us. but I can't just run off and ignore all the people who are trying to make an effort.

As the party goes on the longing, the pull has only become stronger.

When the celebration started to die down and everyone is busy with their own I decided to follow the scent

It's confusing as there are a lot of people here and there are a lot of scents.

I followed the strongest scent then stop when I saw Alpha Daniel, the heartbreaker alpha who is known to be the player who practically broke everyone's heart. He can’t be my mate

He looks at me with lust, disbelief, and many other emotions.

I feel the same way alpha.

"Rivers. Happy birthday" He said smiling walking towards me "Alpha" I replied slowly bowing my head,

"What’s with the formalities?" he asked me "Call me Daniel, I’m sure you can feel it too" He continued.

I nodded my head and tried to avoid his gaze "okay al-- Daniel"

it's weird to just call him Daniel. We grew up together but we were taught to call him with grace.

"Happy birthday, again. " He repeated trying to restart the conversation.

I looked at him and realized that he's probably the most handsome man in our pack.

but he's a player.

"So, The Beta's daughter, huh?

"Alpha's son"

"Yeah, ha-ha. however, I am already the alpha" He said cockily.

"How about we get out of here? Go for a walk?" He added trying to change the subject

"Sure"

I admire his features subtly as we walk around the pack house. I still can believe it. The alpha is my mate. This is a good thing though, right? It means that I won't have to leave my family.

"So you are my mate?" Daniel asked as we walk to his office after deciding to just watch a movie.

I nodded still too stunned to speak.

"Is it ok for me to do this?"

Then he kissed me. I pushed him back shocked.

I looked down embarrassed that I pushed him.

This is normal right? He is my mate. he has the right to kiss me.

I think I liked it.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have---" He rambled but I stopped him with a kiss.

"No, you should" I replied.

When his lips met with mine, it seemed as if time stood still, but the flutter and shivers just grew stronger. I can feel my heart trying to escape my chest as my knees became weaker.

I don't wanna mate with him on our first night together but I could only think about how soft he felt against my mouth,

He bent down, his lips against my cheek, brushing it lightly and still that light touch sent shivers through my nerves

"If you want me to stop, tell me now," he whispered.

I pulled him closer and kissed him again. I'm blinded with lust that I can't seem to stop.
