Chapter 14; old friend..

Logan’s POV.

Its been a couple days, I slept in since you know I don’t have a job to go to. It was about 1:36 pm.

I grabbed my phone seen three missed calls from well probably Mr. Asher.

I didn’t really know if I wanted to call him back. I got up and hooped on the shower. When I stepped out, and was wrapping the towel around my waist. I feel a small bang coming from my door.

I walked over still in a towel on. I opened it to see the one and only, Ashlee.

“Hey loser, how you doing?” She gave me a smile.

Even tho, I was still upset and angry about the situation. I still cared about her, and I know she cares about me if she showing up to my door.

“Hey, sweetheart.” I said to her knowing that will annoy her. “Come in?”

“Don’t call me that, jerk.” She laughed.

I laughed back at her. I went to go get some shorts on before coming back out to her.

“I am actually here to check up on you and talk to you about something..I am actually on a mission.” She said.

“Oh yeah, and that is?” Confused on what he was talking about.

“We want you back!” She said.

“Whose we?” I asked.

“Well the company!!” She said, “and before you say no, I just want you to know that, Liam is leaving. He’s gonna run his dads company an hour away.”

I thought about it, I really did like my job..

“can I think about it and give him a call Monday? I asked.

“Yes, I will let him know.” She replied.

Just then, there was another knock at my door..

“Jeez, is he sending anyone else to my home?”I laughed.

I opened my door and to my shocking surprise there stand was Justin. I was supposed to fly home this weekend but my mom called ask if I could come another weekend, because she had to go fly out and see my aunt.

“This is a crazy surprise?!” I said to Justin.

“Yes it actually, I got your address from your mom, I hope you don’t mind. I was just gonna be your number. But I figured you wouldn’t talk to me.” He said.

“Justin?” I heard Ashlee say behind me.

“Ashlee? How are you?” He said back to her, as she walked up and giving him a hug.

“Good, I actually gotta get back to work, I’ll see you later, Logan. Please think about it. Nice to see you, Justin.” She said walking out of my apartment.

He watched her as she walked out..

“Bro, please don’t get any idea..plus I will actually kill you over that one and she’s not even my girlfriend anymore.” I said to him.

“I wouldn’t even dare, plus Madison was a mistake..” he said.

“That makes two of us..” I laughed as I replied.

“So what’s up? I know didn’t fly all this way to check out my ex, did you?” Laughed as I made a joke.

“ I came to talk to you about Madison and her so called pregnancy, and try to make up with you brother.” He replied.

“What do you mean by so called pregnancy?” I asked.

After you left and moved out her, Madison and I started hanging out. Nothing more then hanging out, she was obsessed with you. But I kind of felt bad for her. Well she was in my room on the phone with her sister and I was outside of the door listen, he found out her sister was pregnant. After I listened in on the phone call, I went to the living pretending I didn’t hear sh**, thats when she came out and proceeded to tell me she was on the phone with her doctors, and she was pregnant, claiming it was mine. I laughed in her face and lied to her and told her I couldn’t have kids because I knew she was lying to me. She would keep texting about the pregnancy but ignored it. Well she finally quit, and I didn’t hear from her again..”

“What a crazy b****.” I said.

“Well I ran into your mom couple days ago, I asked her, how you were and everything. That’s when she told me what Madison has done. So I figure, I come tell you in person, since you probably wouldn’t take my calls.” He said.

“What the actual h***!!” I replied. “Can this woman get any crazy her?”

“Right!!” He replied.

I heard my phone beep, I picked it up to see who texted. It was Ashlee..

Ashlee: I hope your not mad that I stopped by, I miss you at work, and miss you in general. I wanna try work on being friends if you don’t mind. I can’t imagine my life without you. We’ve known each other since we were like 9 years old. Please think about that too :)

I smiled at the phone, Justin looked up at me, and asked the question I been waiting for him to ask.

“What going on with you and Ashlee?”

I didn’t want tell him what actually happen, since you know..it’s none of his business..plus I didn’t want him to get any ideas with her..

“It’s uhm complicated, we were together for a little bit while since I got here, but he didn’t work work. We’re just different people, I guess. But you know, I still love her and care about her, she’s my first love..I feel like she’s still kind of my best friend.” I said to him. “I can’t imagine my life without her, even if she isn’t my girlfriend.”

“That’s amazing brother, she has always been special to you, even when we were younger.” He said.

“To be honest, I don’t know how I am gonna deal with seeing her with another man, that’s gonna kill me, but it gonna happen one day and I’ll just have to get used to it.” I said, “If he hurts her I’ll have to kick their a**.”

We stopped talking about Ash, and just caught up with life. Fixing a friendship, or should I say brothership, that one crazy woman tried to destroyed.

“How long you staying in her town, I have a spare bedroom, if you need it..” I asked him.

“I might take up up on that offer, brother.” He said.

“Good, you can stay as long as you need.” I laughed.

We chatted some more, making jokes, just having a good old time.

Before we knew it was dinner time, I decided to text Ashlee back, since I never did.

Me: Hey let be real can I ever stay mad at you for long? Lol I love you too and yes I would like to be friends! Probably a good idea since we will be seeing each other everyday when I come back to work..You’re my best friend Ash. Justin is staying for bit, we were thinking about heading out to get some dinner, wanna join?

Ashlee: Never ;) yay really, I am so happy your coming back. He**yeah I can never turn down food!!! Meet you at your place or?

Me: I know you can’t lol. Yes meet me at my place, hey I got an idea.. bring that cute new girl that you became friends with at work..she’s single right?

Ashlee: Courtney?? Really Logan Michael?

Me: Not for me silly..for Justin..lol

Ashlee: oh ok :) I’ll see, see in a few :)

I smiled, decided to not tell Justin about the surprise for him at dinner.
