Dustin got in his car and put on his earpiece he roughly tapped his phone to place a call before tossing his phone on the passenger seat.
“Henry, how’s the investigation coming along?”
“Dustin, these normally take a few days…”
“Double the pay; I want a report on my desk by lunch.”
Henry sighed, “Alright, I’ll get on it was right now.”
“Make sure you also add her two children to the investigation.”
“Wait, she has children? If she moved on, maybe you …”
Dustin shot back angrily, “I think they are mine, Henry! The wench stole my children for 6 years! That b***h made a family with someone else and my children!!”
“Oh s**t… s**t s**t s**t… Amelia did that? I never met her until yesterday so I can’t say much but she didn’t seem like the bitchy revenge type. I mean she’s rough around the edges, sure, but maybe there’s more to the story?”
Henry paused, what if there was? It didn’t matter. She left him with his children. The more he thought about it the more certain he was that those were his children. Why else would she leave as soon as his lawyers sent over the legal divorce paperwork?
“Just get it done,” Dustin ended the call and grimly turned his attention back to the road. He would get his children back and if she if she didn’t want to come along willingly then he would rip them from her life. He smirked; that would teach her a lesson.

Dustin went straight to the office. He needed something to get his mind off of recent events. His heart felt a painful squeeze every time he thought of Amelia so he put her out of mind like he always did.
Suddenly his phone rang, Dustin frowned but picked it up anyway, “Yes?”
“Sir, your sister is outside. She said she would like to speak to you.”
Dustin’s brow furrowed further, “She’s not well, send her home and tell her not to come to the office again.”
He was about to hang up before his sister’s voice came through, “Give me that… Dustin? I need to speak with you urgently. I will leave as soon as I speak with you, please!”
Dustin sighed, “Fine. Come in and make it quick.”
He hung up and Tana walked in quickly. She beelined to his desk and sat on the guest chair.
“Brother, I need your help to find your ex-wife.”
Dustin raised a brow, “Why do you need to find Amelia?”
Amelia? So that’s her name… Tana filed that piece of information into her mind. She coughed, “I just need to speak to her. Mom brought in an eastern shaman and we were told that my … uh… mind had issues due to some unresolved ill-will between us. I just need to speak to her and get it all cleared up and I should be fine.”
“Ill-will? What does that mean? Did Amelia curse you?!”
Tana raised her hand, “It’s not really like that, I mean…,” she stuttered, afraid to tell him the truth.
Dustin heard enough. He had made up his mind that Amelia is not only a wench she is a monster. She cursed his sister?! His children can’t be with her. He must save them at all costs.
He got up abruptly and hung his jacket over his arm.
“Come with me, I will take you to her.”
Tana jumped up and followed closely behind; happy that she didn’t have to explain more. Her mind raced; how should she word the conversation so she doesn’t tell what happened and gets the forgiveness and blessing for her child?

Dustin raced to the villa. When they got there Amelia and her children were nowhere in sight. Dustin walked up to the door and rang the bell.
Stephen answered and froze seeing Dustin, “Ahem, hello, Sir. It has been a while. What brings you here?”
Dustin scowled at him, “Where is Amelia?”
Stephen pursed his lips, “I am not aware Miss was expecting you…”
“Move aside, Stephen. I need to speak with Amelia, NOW!”
Stephen stood his ground like an ancient statue, old but sturdy, “No, Sir. You are no longer the master here. This place belongs to Miss Amelia.”
Dustin’s eyes flashed in anger, “Do not forget who is paying your salary, old man.”
Stephen smiled sadly, “Yes, Sir, and thank you for that. But I will gladly resign from your employ than let you take one step in this house.”
Dustin glared but before he could say another word he heard the voice he had longed for, “Stephen, bring him into the parlor. I will be down shortly.”
Stephen closed his eyes then opened the door a little wider, “This way, Sir.”
Dustin pushed him aside and walked in, Tana trailing closely behind.

Meanwhile, Amelia rushed the children towards DS’s room, “Stay here with Uncle DS okay!? Do not come downstairs for whatever reason!”
The children looked at each other and then nodded at her.
“Okay, mama!”
They opened the door and walked in. Amelia heard them running into the sunlit room and all of a sudden the bed creaked and a low groggy “Ooooph!!!” before the kids giggled and chatted with the sleepy DS.
Amelia grinned and closed the door. Her eyes grew colder with every step she took. What did that bastard want? She resolved to sell the place faster so she could be rid of him forever.
Walking into the parlor she glanced at the pair drinking coffee as if they owned the place. Amelia scoffed, “What brings the Roger siblings to my humble abode?”
They looked up and Tana immediately rushed to her, “Amelia! How are you? Can I speak to you privately?”
Dustin spoke coldly, “Don’t talk to the witch privately. She might curse you again.”
Amelia frowned, “Witch? Curse? What the f*ck are you going on about. Get out of my house if you can’t speak civilly. I will not put up with your shit.”
Dustin rose from his seat with a sneer on his face, “What? You can’t admit to being a wicked b***h? Tana saw a shaman and she said you cursed her which is why she hasn’t been sound of mind since her pregnancy.”
Amelia was about to retort but Tana interjected, “Brother that’s not it. Please, may I speak with her privately?”
Amelia’s eyes drew to slits, “No, I don’t want to be alone with you. Your brother stays or both of you get out. I don’t want to be accused of “cursing” anyone the moment you leave the premise.”
She sat down and folded her hands over her knees, “Let’s hear it. What do you want.”
Tana gulped, “Uhm, so it's… I came to apologize to you for what happened six years ago. I invited you to tea but then you got a miscarriage. I feel like it’s my fault. Can you please forgive me?”
Amelia looked at her cooly, “It’s not like you poisoned me. It’s not your fault so there is nothing to forgive. Is that all you came for?”
Tana didn’t know if that counted as forgiveness so she continued, “I was wondering if you could bless my unborn child. I mean as you were once my sister-in-law…”
Dustin frowned, what in the world was going on? Why would Tana want a blessing from a witch? But he watched in silence.
Amelia sighed, “Whatever happened to me six years ago had nothing to do with you. Don’t let it bother you. I wish you an easy delivery and a healthy happy baby. Congratulations on motherhood.”
The moment Amelia finished Tana could feel a weight lift off her shoulders and the dreaded heartbeat in her ears stopped. She cried and fell on her knees, “Thank you! Thank you!”
Amelia and Dustin shot up from their seats, shocked. Was there really a curse??
