7 The next morning, Sawyer was up and at ‘em with gusto. Because he wanted to go out to his playground before we left for his dad’s house, he let me get him dressed and ate his bacon and oatmeal without a fuss. Then, he was down and climbing before I could even put on my sweater. He was good and tuckered out for the ride. I handed him a protein bar and his juice and reveled in his repeated singing of “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” for the whole ride. Each time he sang, “Diamond, Diamond in the sky” I smiled. He was such a delight.
