I try to backtrack my steps, finally recognizing the shrilling hum through our bond. Something bigger is at play. Theo’s not someone that usually gets angry so easily, so why is he getting so mad right now? The sensation is so new to me that it’s almost distracting.
“Are you seriously just gonna ignore me?” Theo speaks again, causing the hum to grow louder. I have to block him out if I want to concentrate, but that’s easier said than done.
“You still haven’t answered my earlier question.”
