Avi's P.O.V
As I walked out of school, angered thoughts flooded my mind. How could I kill an Alpha? They need food. The food I am required to cook daily. Poisoning? That would be too obvious. Sudden death? Nah, that'd be too easy. Torture?
A smile crept on my face as I thought of how nice that would be. Seeing him writhe under me and begging for me to just kill him. A chuckle escaped me. I know . . . I know, I seemed a bit psychotic, but that was because I was seething.
I was beyond pissed. How could he do that? Wait, wait, wait...no. How could he not do that? It was his norm to stop that low. What did I expect? For him to be mature? I laughed at the thought. Now that was funny. He and his brains were worlds apart, let alone maturity.
For an upcoming Alpha, he really was a joke. I did not seem to understand what this pack saw in him. Might as well as sell the pack into slavery for his pleasure, or maybe for revenge.
School was not yet over, but I wasn't going to stick around and pretend I was listening, instead of making my way to the lovely dungeons where I would reside for the next week. Nope . . . I wasn't a psycho - I was worse. Guess the pain no longer got to me. Oh, how lovely it was that he didn't know what was coming for him.
As I walked to the pack house, I took long deep breaths, trying to calm down and think straight. This would also be the last breath of fresh air I had for the next week. Trust me when I say that place reeked of death.
Now that I pondered it, I really didn't know what was wrong with me. Maybe I was going crazy or something. I had been getting strong surges of emotion. Specifically, anger and defiance. Something was definitely up, I just didn't know what. Normally, I would be scared shitless by just the thought of being taken to the dungeons. I didn't like the place one bit. Not because of the people and the torture, but because of the memories.
The pack house was now in view and when I got closer, a part of me didn't like what I saw, but another smiled wickedly. Well, what a pleasant surprise.
Austin, Stacy and their gang of cronies were chilling outside the pack house smoking weed. Of course, they skipped school. Those good for nothing mofos. As I came into view, Austin's eyes met mine, his glinting with mischief.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't the little naughty Avi." he said, making all the attention turn to me.
"Heading to the dungeon, are we?" he added, smiling smugly.
I stayed silent trying to rein in my anger before I did something stupid.
"Oh, my apologies. I forgot she's also a mute mutt," he said, making everyone laugh. Damn, they were really testing my patience.
"Don't forget she's a w***e too," Stacy added. No, no, no . . .she didn't get to say that. Not after what they had done.
"Says the slut that has willingly slept with almost all the men in the pack," I said, letting my anger out.
They all stopped laughing, shocked at my comeback. I smiled innocently, as if I hadn't just insulted Alpha's daughter. If I was going to the dungeons, I would rather it be well deserved.
"Might I add the fact that you're barely 20. That surely is legendary, isn't it?" I chuckled lightly.
"Shut up, b***h," Stacy said, in an annoyingly high pitch.
"The only b***h I know is standing right in front of me in barely any clothes," I said.
I wondered how she walked around with her boobs hanging out and her ass barely covered.
"At least I'm not in rags," she said, looking at me with disgust as she took in my appearance.
"At least I'm not in toddlers' clothes," I retorted smugly. I could see some of the guys struggling to reign in their laughter.
"I wouldn't say that if I were you," said Austin.
"That's why you're not me dummy," I shot back.
"That's no way to talk to your big bro," he said, faking a pout.
"Welp, thank god I have no family," I said, anger seeping in my voice.
"So you finally found your voice, and now you think you can say whatever you want, huh?" he asked.
"Nope . . . I just got tired of listening to your lame attempts at trying to taunt me," I said, in a calm voice, making him angry.
"Who do you think you are?! You're just a useless Omega! And that's all you'll ever be!! So stick to your lane before I decide to let my wolf out!" he said, his eyes turning dark.
A dark sinister urge started spreading through me, seething in anger. I felt it flowing in my veins. Brimming with unknown power. I was going to give him a piece of my mind.
"Now get this through your thick heads lovelies. I can, and will be your worst nightmare," I said, my voice coming out abnormally deep and distorted.
I could feel my canines elongate as my tongue passed over my lips. Claws replaced my nails. My whole demeanor changed as something took control of me. A cruel smile graced my lips, showing off my sharp teeth as dark unbridled pressure oozed off of me. I looked Austin straight in the eye, causing him to wince.
They all seemed terrified of me, shrinking back into themselves. I almost laughed at how pathetic they looked. Considering how arrogant they were just a few minutes ago. I could feel tension coming off of them in waves. Almost tasting the fear visible in their eyes. They all stood still, watching me tentatively. Even Austin seemed wary of me.
At that moment, I felt another presence inside me. It was almost as if it was making itself known. Wanting to be acknowledged. It's presence was powerful. It clawed at me, struggling to be set free. To get a taste of freedom. To be released from its deep confines. I strained to push it down, fighting against it, as I did not know what else to do, and barely managed to regain control.
"Now, if you excuse me, I've got a dungeon to get to," I said sweetly, walking in the pack house and heading to my room.
WTF just happened? There was no way that that was me, but I couldn't deny the fact that it felt good being the one in control. In a weird way, I felt as though that was where I belonged; in control. Not being trampled upon by anyone and everyone. An odd sense of familiarity crept inside of me at the thought of having control of things.
I changed into clothes that were tattered because I really liked the clothes I had been in, and I knew that they would be ripped and torn if I wore them to the dungeon. I then opened my closet and took out a small red box from a hidden compartment. I had found the box a few weeks after my mom's death in my parents' room. I had been snooping around looking for pictures of her when I found it.
It had my name on it, and a golden chain lay inside. It was beautiful. It looked like it had been crafted carefully for someone special. I had hidden it from Daniel because that was the only thing that reminded me of mom. It was just as pretty as the one she wore daily. Somehow, I knew they were linked together, but I didn't know how. I hurriedly returned it to its hiding spot, and made my way to the dungeons.
One of the guards took me to my cell and locked it. As soon as I was alone, doubt started creeping into me. I dreaded what was to come, but what I feared the most, were the memories that I knew, without a doubt, would come.
My cell was different from the others. It was a room with no source of lighting except for a dimly lit bulb. It had no windows and the walls were soundproof. There was a concrete table in a corner that had chains on it and one of the walls also had chains.
A shudder went down my spine as memories began flashing through my mind. I felt a hurricane of emotions building up in me. I was scared. A sudden click brought me back to reality, and the door opened, revealing Austin, Ian and Sam.
The fear that had been spiking inside me was quickly replaced by anger when I saw his face. The darkness I had earlier felt crept out and took a hold of me. I was still seated in the corner as they walked in. The malice overtook me and I willingly let it. A smile gracing my lips at the thought of what was to come.
It was time to play.
