“What just happened, Ezekiel? She was just here. Who was following her?” Dominic asked everyone. “I do not understand she was just here, and then she was gone,” Elijah said. 

“Where did my mate go, and why did she run away from me in fear?” Alpha asked the men.

“Alpha Andres, I do not know where she went or why she ran,” Dominic said. “She has never done anything like this before.” 

“So let me understand this, my Mate is gone, and you do not know why or where?” Alpha Andres growled at them as Alpha Maxwell and Jr. came up.

“I know who is with her; it is Bryce. He is the only one that has ever been able to keep up with her when she ran,” Alpha Jr. stated. They all looked at him. 

“What do you mean when she runs? She never runs without us,” Isaiah said.  “She is not allowed to.”

“Well, had you ever paid any attention to her, you would have known she was sneak out with Bryce at night to run and train with him.” Alpha Jr. informed them.

“We had her room monitored, and we would have known if she left,” Dominic said.

“You underestimate your sister; she is brilliant; she used the window.” Alpha Maxwell told them.

“How do you know this?” Elijah asked.

“Well, remember that conversation we had when she was 12, about letting up on her and letting her have some freedom. I told you this would happen.” Alpha Maxwell told them. “ I know you love her and want her to be safe and protected, but you need to let her breathe. You brought this upon yourselves.” 

“What do you mean? My mate, who I don't even know her name ran away from me because you would not let her have any type of freedom? I do not understand what is going on here.” Alpha Andres said, getting mad. 

“Her name is Lillian, but she goes by Lilly. These are her older brothers Ezekiel and Dominic. As well as her guardians Isaiah and Elijah. They came to our pack about 17 years ago. They were running away from the wolf council in Russia. They have been protecting Lilly as well as the pack has been. Lilly and her brothers are Royal wolves that are the last of their kind. So Lilly is to become Queen, and they have been grooming her for the job, but she has been kinda resistant to it.” Alpha Maxwell explains. 

Lilly, what a beautiful name for my mate. I have not heard of the royal wolves. I will need to look into that. It broke me when I saw the fear in her eyes; I do not understand why she ran from me. I would never hurt her. “She was being groomed? To do what?” I asked. 

They all look at each other and then at me. “To be Queen and rule the wolf kingdom the way it was meant to be ruled,” Ezekiel said.

“Oh..” I am so shocked that I mindlink my Beta. “Theo, I need you to come here.” 

“Be right there, Alpha.” Theo mind linked me back.

“Well, what do we do now? How do we find her?” I asked her brothers. They looked at each other than to me as my Beta walked up.

“This is my Beta Theo Aldrete; he will be informed of all things,” I tell them.

“She has blocked us from communicating with her. So I do not know if we will be able to track her. We have trained her well to be hidden. I just never thought that she would use that against us.” Dominic said.

“I am surprised that she had not done this sooner. Bryce is with her. I saw him bite her tail as they disappeared. So he is with her, and since he left pack lands, he can not mindlink us. Which, to be honest, I do not think he would tell us anyway.” Maxwell stated.

“You are his Alpha; you could make him,” Elijah states. Maxwell looks at him and smiles.

“Yes, I may be his Alpha, but he has always had a pull to his future Queen. Even 16 years ago, when she was 2. She is higher ranked than me and can use that on him to not tell. He will keep her safe.” Maxwell states as he starts to walk back to the packhouse, talking to Alpha Andres on how they may track her. The four of them looked at them as they left.

Alpha Jr. looked at them and said, “I know that you care and love her. She will come back when she is ready; she did not reject him or you. She simply ran away to deal with things.”

“But she has responsibilities to us and all wolves. She is selfish.” Dominic said.

“Well, this may be true brother, it is our fault that she ran. We pushed her; we did not allow her to grow as a person. We assumed things would fall into place because we wanted them to, but we grew up before we left. We had the chance to grow and to live. Mom and Dad made sure we messed up, played, and talked to others. We knew there were dangers for her; we did what we thought was best for her. Jr. is right. She will come back when she is ready.” Ezekiel said.
